Very poor again by the looks. Still playing in front of a back four it's relatively easy to defend against.

Looking at today, you can't put Sanchez up top.

I think a cf (proper striker not forward) is a massive must, will be gutted if mario performs at anfield.

Another quite poor performance for me last night (for not from, wifey is quite happy I'm sure).

With all the creativity in midfield, seem to lack the 'quality' clear cut chances and it all comes from playing in front of teams, giroud is good (seen a lot of people hammering him) but he's always got his back to goal. Would love to see someone along side him.

Can't see what Rambo has contributed in the number 10 role. For me I'd like to see more of a 4-2-4 with Walcott/Sanchez alongside giroud and stretch teams a little more?

Dare I say "Remy".

Genuinely don't think you could go wrong at £8m?

3.) 20 Aug 2014 14:26:04
Would cost more than that to buy him a new heart

Nothing happening on my page so thought I'd put two penneth in here.

How do you judge yesterday's match?

I thought you were quite poor to be honest and you were most ineffective in strongest area - midfield getting forwards. Don't thing the system helped much, would have loved to see two go up top and have a little more presence.

Arteta had a decent game at DM I thought.

Glad Rambo got his goal, because I thought he was quite poor all game.

Chamakh was biggest surprise for me, he really put a shift in.

3 points went the right way though in the end, just an ugly three points.

Any game against a Tony Pulis side, and they would have worked to his plan, parking the bus and wasting time from minute one when you take 3 points is a great result.

Cannot deny we were nowhere near our best but winning ugly is also a great trait to have.

If we do exactly the same against City, Chelsea and Liverpool I'll be even happier.

Add to that a last minute win is always a great lift after a poor game.

Concerns about Gibbs and seeing Koscielny limping at the final whistle were the worst things.

2.) Agree Jenny

I'm an outsider, but have 'followed' you guys for years.

But from the outside; really don't think you need another st at all, giroud and Sanchez will be first team: theo, pod's, Campbell could all fit in there (definitely not sanogo).

But, to the point. Isn't LB your weakest position. NM isn't good enough and KB (who I like) seems to struggle between being a lb and lm?

Deswaddle

1.) Monreal isn't good enough IMO but I think most of us are in agreement that Gibbs is, competition wouldn't go amiss for the LB spot though.

2.) Monreal is easily good enough as a back up imo. There aren't many players of his quality that would be willing to be a back up. Gibbs is great and will hopefully be our left back for many years.

3.) LBs seem to be ridiculously expensive this window, united paid 27 mil for an 18 yo who has great potential, but we all know it might not be fulfilled and Chelsea paid 20mil for a 29yo(when the season starts) who might take time to get up to speed in the premier league, and has no resale value, not sure who got the worse deal really

4.) 26 Jul 2014 13:30:32
Yeah, but evra for 1.2 is great value, cole for free. Hate both as players but represent decent value. Wages might be shocking, but shaw is reportedly on a fortune.

As I said I like Gibbs, but just think if you want to be more than fourth, he should be the quality young back up to a world class player.

?

5.) We could've done a lot worse than taking Davies that Spurs just signed. 10 mill for a LB to compete with Gibbs would've been a bargain imo.

12m for vermaelen and apparently another 8 to get hummels. No question for me. Kos, per and mads. As good as it gets at cb then.

Surely he would have two prices: Everton (or any other club £18m) arsenal: £25m.

Reet, as Thomas' biggest fan when I was young I'm certain it's tank.

Or has this changed as tank could be offensive to large metal vehicles of war?
