{Ed033's Note - it were at mill. Trouble at t' mill 😋.

I see raver is stalking us again. Mind you I understand his fascination with Arsenal, supporting the toot has been so depressing and with the run in Chelsea have the pain at the lane looks likely to continue. No trophies in his short lifetime is a depressing reality.

He always seems to catch my posts. That Suburu mouse is like Colin McRae.

We just keep winning R. G., we are the only club in the league undefeated at home and you are still a massive 14 points behind us lol. I am fascinated by Arsenal lol what's that R. G. Looking down at you at 6 th place with no European history.

The thing is raver, as good as your team is at the moment it will never be remembered unless you win some silverware. We finished second last year and it means nothing. So when people look back on the past 5 years in 10 years time they will see arsenal with 2 possibly 3 FA cups and spurs with nothing. Granted this season is the season that you spurs fans will remember but we have over 50 seasons where we have finished above you! It pales in comparison really.

Dymand the late great Colin mcrae had nothing on the raver, I'm more like Nikki lauder driving around London but with the sound system pumping and smashed right off my face.

Good win tonight, even arsenal radio said it was fortunate in the end but let's hope we are fortunate again at the weekend.

Much better than i expected to fair Steve, i thought a draw or even a defeat tonight mate.
3 wins on the trot and if we don't lose to Spurs at the weekend even i might have to start to expecting our players to turn up in games again.

26 Apr 2017 22:25:07
For more reasons than one a win is the only scenario at the weekend. Anything less is another failure. Our season is staying alive on a thread of a thread. Defeat or a draw would be the dagger in the heart. We should be supplying that. Put the knife in the spuds.

Nice to see we have tightened up at the back too.

Definitely Dags credit where it's due, I can't seem to get past expecting this Arsenal team to go into hiding again but I'm eager to be convinced otherwise.
Beating Spurs would be huge and followed by Arsene getting 3pts off Mourinho for the first time would be humongous, ok it wouldn't put the past wrongs of this season right but it would make everyone have to take time out to reevaluate thier opinions.

I love it tight at the back. If it isn't tight it isn't right.

I like tonight's line up, Gibbs and Belerin for me are ideal wingbacks and Theo up top with Sanchez and Ozil has the potential to break very and effectively.
Ideally I'd like to Ox next to Le Coq and Holding in Monreals place but hey ho I'm excited about Gibbs Belerin and Theo getting their Chance in this system, let's see what happens.

I will be interested to see the posts about our improved team performances after tonight, toots and man u and really the rest of the season. Will we go out and win all three and take the fourth spot by storm because we have found the magic ingredient. Or will we be found out as frauds and pretenders.

4th spot is gone mate.

The semi final performance was our best of 2017 mate and because of the new system people are hoping rather truly thinking everything has suddenly gone magically right.
Leicester will a very difficult game which i wouldn't want to call either way as niether a draw or a defeat would surprise me at all infact I'd be delighted with a win tonight as in truth it's not the result i expect to see happen.
Spurs is a Derby which form isn't always the best indicator of who will come out on top, we went to Totenham last season in pretty poor shape but got a pretty deserved point in the end.
As for our game with Mourinho well we know how they always end, draw at best defeat or horrible defeat at worst but never with 3pts for us which i just can't see happening this time either.
Magic ingredient? Like you i don't see where the current resident magician has anything left up his sleeve to produce but let's wait and see what happens both over the next 3 games and wether the board actually decide to stick with the same magician or conjure up a surprise of their own that leaves us all gasping in amazement.

We are currently 21 points behind Chelsea who sit on a total now we can only reach if we win all of our last 7 games and they still have 5 to play.

An FA Cup final doesn't cover up for what is another shocking season.

I thought losing the title by 10 points to Leicester last season was as bad as it was going to get but this for me is a lot worse.

I'm not moaning as I'm way beyond that but watching Chelsea batter Southampton last night on the way to winning the title made me think how long it's been since I had that feeling as a fan and how much longer will it be.

Oh for the excitement of a challenge. Haha.

Mate i share your aching to be genuinely involved in a title race again 100%, I've never felt we had the right to demand we win it but over a decade without a single serious challenge is awful for a club the size of Arsenal.
I long for that feeling where you can't wait for the next game to get here where your checking every result looking at the fixtures to see where your opponents might drop points that absolutely massive high when we win really big games at the business end of the season that keeps us on track but seriously dents another challengers hopes.
It's been a long long time now and it isn't right for the club to expect fans to accept more of the same willingly, the FA cup is great and playing Chelsea in the final makes it such a bigger occasion but as you say it doesn't come even close to covering up the horrendous season we've had that's seen us drop further away than ever from being serious title contenders :- (
The really horrible thing is what is going to change next season if Arsene stays? What is going to change us dramatically from the usual also rans into genuine title material under Arsene? What is he going to do so differently to what he's always done that has slowly but surely become less and less effective each season as our points total continues decline and the gap between Arsenal and the premier league champions gets bigger and bigger each and every season.
I'm not having yet another pop at Arsene because its all been said before and if he stays he stays but as a fan i do miss being involved in the title race very much.

The closest I've got to feeling that we were in the title race since we last won it was RVPs last season. We were 10-12 points ahead at Easter I believe.

I was unhappy seeing us behind all the comparable teams and just above west brom. Then I thought about it.

If we win our game in hand:

we're 3 points off Man U, who signed one of the most successful managers, the world's most expensive player, one of the most successful strikers ever, with England's most promising attacker, the world's most expensive teenager lb, one of the worlds best gks, plus their old players like martial, Rooney, mata etc.

And 4 points off city who Signed the most sought after manager in the world, splashed 50mil on a cb, brought in a wonderkid striker, and the sought after sane, adding to the aguero, De bruybe, Silva, sterling they already had.

If this is arsenal at our worst, i Can't wait til we do well.

Jim and we finished second last year a street in front of chelski, a mile in front of man u, a mile in front of liverpool and five I think points in front of citeh. 10 points behind the leaders, spent over 100 mil on players and are going to have our worst ever season under wenger, from a so called position of strength. can't wait until we get a new manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2017 15:32:05
Jim If we win our game in hand? Which game would you consider as our game in hand mate? Sunderland at home ;-)
I realise your trying to put a positive spin on things mate but this season has been awful mate and its no good pretending it hasn't been.
Steve we finished on 71 points last season mate which just happened to be enough to pinch 2nd place in a season where all our usual superiors went missing, will we make 71 points this season? Dubious!
This season is simply a little more awful than last season which was pretty awful in its own right.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Apr 2017 15:44:50
I get the frustration Steve, but 100mil is what man u spent on one player. I'm just saying that all the big clubs want to win.

I don't take last seasons standings as any indication of the following season - never know who's going to join or leave a club. I'm sure most Leicester fans didn't.

What i want now is full effort from the team and support from the fans. Anyone that doesn't give 100% or not needed/ good enough to be shipped out in the Summer, and a couple of top quality signings (on top of the new lb) to show genuine intent. I think that'll happen as this season will be too volatile for the management/ board.

Not going to big them up, but hoping that tweaking will also give bielik, toral, niles, iwobi etc a chance to play a role too.

I can get behind that 100% and don't care if we win as long as the board manager and team give it their all.

Looking forward to tonight's match.
Should we play the same starting line up that won at Wembley, assuming Ox is fit?
Let's get behind Wemger and the team.
Great to be in the FA Cup final for the third time in four seasons and with Liverpool losing at home to Palace, a top four spot, although extremely difficult, a possibility.

At this late stage why change a winning team, rest through use of subs. The Ox was training with the team and looks fine.

If there is a change maybe Welbeck for Giroud.

I wouldn't be surprised at changes. Lot of players played 2 hours so fatigue might be a factor tonight.
