Getting really worried about the harry kane trophy curse now. 🥴. couldn't care less about Bayern or Tottenham flopspurs (chicken on a beach ball serial trophy dodgers) . but he's leading the line for England at the euros soon. fingers crossed he manages to (A) =end the hoodoo this summer or (B) = misses the flight out there with the England squad, saka gets promoted to striker and leads us to victory. and the rest is history. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🦁🦁🦁🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿.

I’ve got a feeling Utd will sign him or the other winger and it’ll be another zaha.

Hello everyone, first of all so pleased to read Eds 14 wife is still making good progress❤️❤️
Secondly if it was a party atmosphere Sunday week or we were coasting irrespective if we were going to be champions or not would you give Timber a few minutes or bring him back during the pre season friendlies.

 1

{Ed014's Note - thanks Bill, appreciated as always.❤️

That’s a difficult question as Arteta has said he won’t give him anymore time with the U21’s.

So it suggests he may give him minutes but if there’s any doubt then hang on until pre season.

He appears to have been in full training with the team though.

Yes excellent news Ed014 so pleased for you both, been a tough time for you both.

Personally I think we have to get our end of the deal done by beating United and Everton Bill, then once the final whistle of the season blows celebrate like its 1999 regardless if we are champions or runners up. Timber has been very unfortunate but this is not his season and he and we should be looking towards next season for his Arsenal career to restart afresh 👍.

I hear she's back to her fighting best and totally dominating him in arm wrestling again! Way to go Mrs.14.

We have to ask permission to go to the pub and they tell us their going shopping.

Great news Ed 14 hope it continues.

{Ed014's Note - thanks Saga and how are you doing mate?

06 May 2024 21:49:01
Wow, who else would love to see Arsenal sign one of Olise or Eze (or both) 😂? Amazing talents who would massively upgrade our squad.

 1

{Ed014's Note - they’ve certainly had a field day tonight.

 0

07 May 2024 00:44:56
Both are exceptional. I think Eze probably edges it as the player who would suit us more given Olise would really need to be first choice on the RW and that's Saka's nailed on.

That said though I don't think we need another attacker that isn't a striker. I think with a no.9 and a no.6/ 8 hybrid like Zubimendi would be enough for our summer business, and maybe a backup GK if Ramsdale were to leave.

Hey ed14, hope you and your family are doing good

How good has King kai been

Arteta doesn't get enough credit.

 2

{Ed014's Note - hiya Mal all good thanks and all have them have showed up and after his start Kai has just worked hard and it’s all paying off for him.

How good is Declan Rice though! What a signing

 3

06 May 2024 17:22:53
Ed mate Declan is so good he could end up in mole if Keane and paddy

God things are looking superb.

 1

{Ed014's Note - I think I know what you’re saying mate and every bit as good or better for me.

That run he did at 90+ minutes to score against Bournemouth was unreal.

 1

06 May 2024 17:22:58
Kai was a huge gamble at a huge price and full credit to him but especially Arteta who was brave enough to back his own judgement and ability to get the best out of a player who struggled at Chelsea and who most other managers were weary of signing. Managers get a lot of stick when their singings fail so deserve the credit when they pay off again the odds, as with White Trossard and both Raya and Ramsdale all of who many fans question and some even wrote off before even put on our shirt. Arteta certainly is getting a lot more right than he gets wrong a lot more often as time goes on.

Liverpool fan in peace. Just want to say how refreshing it is to see a page of fans grateful for how far Arteta has taken your team despite not delivering the big one. Too many fans throw their toys out of the pram unless anything less than 1st place is achieved.

Kudos.

Arteta OUT! Someone was going to say it so may as well be me. Carry on as you were and hope you lads land a decent manager.

Hi 78 mate, how very true, I haven't looked at the Liverpool page since the early stages of last season when some fans were calling for Jurgens head just a few months after your brilliant season prior to last seasons, total madness in my opinion. I think what every Liverpool Arsenal City Chelsea and United fan wants is for their club to compete at the top and not be too far away from the eventual winners. All are big clubs and no fan is going to be happy to finish 20 to 30 points behind the eventual champions for two or three consecutive seasons but any team that is within 5 or 6 points after 38 games is doing ok in my book mate.

How optimistic are you about life immediately after Jurgen 78 mate?

 1

06 May 2024 18:33:32
Cheers g62,

It’s always going to be unnerving seeing a post Klopp era, but if you don’t have hope as supporter, what’s the point?!

I don’t know much about Slot tbh but am hopeful that our overall structure and squad means he’s in a good place to succeed.

It’s not often you takeover a big club that’s in a pretty good place squad wise.

 2

06 May 2024 19:11:58
Hi 78 mate, best of luck and I hope you adjust really quickly to not having Jurgen around. In my opinion the premier league needs a strong Liverpool to be at its best, I'd be more than happy to see you boy's, ourselves and City fighting it out again into May next season 👍.

The flip side some might say is that’s an attitude of losers - something I vehemently disagree with ( along with people ‘losing’ a battle to cancer) . The worst people I’ve come across are the second is first loser merchants! Feckwits most of them! No doubt there will be the ‘bottle job ‘ jibes - I don’t see it all I see is everyone pulling in the same direction which hasn’t happened for a while at the Arsenal! MA is paid a fortune and has learned under Wenger and Pep ( two of the best) and I’d rather he made the decisions rather than listen to those with a vested interest but nothing to lose! We are still in this and the super computer whatever that is says city will drop points! Just two wins then! On another note I’d be interested to hear Sy’s thoughts on MA and King Kai

It reminds me of when you say to some who's going on holiday " have a brilliant holiday " and they come back with a long list of conditions that must be met in full before they will agree to have a brilliant holiday, " as long as the weather's good, the food is spot on, the other people at the hotel aren't rowdy, the hotel staff all speak perfect English, and of course isn't to hot, then and only then, will I agree to enjoy myself and have a great time"

Life must be one long disappointment for these people.

It's the closest to the top we've been since Eduardo broke his leg, we're playing great, have a fantastic squad, and are 2nd only to a team that noone can compete with financially. anyone calling for change would be a lunatic - much praise to arteta for getting us here!

 1

07 May 2024 10:51:26
Hi Sw not only do City have most money they also have an incredibly brilliant manager who is at the top of his game and gets the best out of his players, it's looking more and more like we have one of those managers too now 👍.

06 May 2024 10:04:27
Whatever happens for us gunners now. thank arteta, the coaching staff and our hugely talented squad of players, who have given us our ARSENAL back. and if they keep this trajectory going, we are in for plenty of good times ahead. the road is less bumpy and scenery becoming more beautiful. COME ON YOU GUNNERS/ VTH. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE ❤️. ARSENAL TILL I DIE. 🔴⚪️ p. s never forget you could have been a chicken on a beach ball fan, and life would be real 💩😉.

{Ed014's Note - I’d also add that we must be a very attractive option for the best younger players in the transfer market too come the summer.

Morning Ed 014. hope alls well for you and the missus, and life is treating you kind. yes mate I think arsenal will be a huge attraction for new signings. it’s good to be a gooner. ✌🏻&🫶🏻.

 0

{Ed014's Note - morning Gabi yes all good mate and hopefully likewise with you and yours.

It is a fantastic time to be a gunner mate and Arteta has done an incredible job in turning us around from where we were when he joined.

So many doubted him and that includes me.

I edit other pages and it amazes me that other fans think he’s arrogant/cocky etc.

I never get that impression and that’s not because I’ve got red tinted glasses.

I guess it just shows he’s getting things right if he erks others so much. 🤷‍♂️

I am one of those people who wanted Arteta gone after two 8th place finishes, how wrong I was and how happy I am that no one with any powe at Arsenal listened to me, wise people.

Arteta has learned his trade on the job and has learned from his own mistakes gets far more right than he gets wrong with each season that passes, we are extremely fortunate to have a manager, club and squad who want everything we want ourselves and are becoming more and more capable of achieving our collective dreams. 10/ 10 for Arteta this season in my opinion as anything else would be nit picking.

I trusted the process, I wanted to give Mikel a chance. I did change my mind in a couple occasions though

Well said john.

06 May 2024 12:33:22
Hi Mark unquestionably Arteta has got better and better and better as time has gone on, the difference last season to the season before was huge but this season he's stepped up several levels again in my opinion. I am now of the opinion that I will back his decisions 100% even if they are not what I would do myself, as I have come to the conclusion he actually might know better than me, shock horror, who knew 🤔🤔🤔🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫🤫.

06 May 2024 12:42:29
Arteta asked us to trust the process, and I have from the start. he had a hell of a lot of deadwood to get rid of and crappy culture to re-address, and it was always going to take some time. (which thankfully he has been granted) . I trusted him for the simple fact. he played for us. (the arsenal in his heart) . under wenger and was pep’s assistant. and over the course of roughly 9 years of mentoring under two of the very best coaches in world football… (pep even insisted we should stick with Mikel) . and if you can’t learn anything in that time from two such greats… you may as well get your coat… keep trusting that process. he will lead us back to the promised land. The Arsenal are back for good, mixing it with the best. 🔴⚪️❤️.

Last season Arteta learned the lesson and value of playing a settled best available 11 in all premier league games the benefits paid off handsomely but unfortunately the team ran out of steam, he learned from this but didn't throw out the baby with the bathwater and rested players where necessary this season rather than through trying to keep everyone happy, the result has been genuine competition for places rather than rotation rotation rotation for the sake of tinkering or player pleasing. And we now have an awesomely competive yet united squad with strength in depth we haven't seen anything like for years where all players are playing to keep or regain a place in the starting 11. Martinelli is currently not in that starting 11 but will become a much better player for having to fight to regain his place in the long run, things haven't looked so good at The Arsenal for a very long time.

I was a regular critic of Mikel, but he has proved me and the other doubters wrong. He sets the bar high because he truly believes that as a Club we should strive for that. The quality of the squad is there for all to see, the atmosphere in the stadium is absolutely bangin. Lastly without being to disrespectful to the other clubs there, s not a fixture in the season where I don't think we can get 3pts
COYG❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.

06 May 2024 14:22:15
Great post Bill mate, this is where we all wanted us to be, only one team can be champions each season no matter how well 3 or 4 teams play, only one can ever finish top. If we keep doing what we are doing our time at the top will come, this season, next season or at some point in the near future and it won't be long before someone else gets to be top for a bit. It's all about genuinely being in the race and crossing the line first is the icing on the icing on the cake rather than the cake itself. Absolutely having to win and be number one to be happy and enjoy the season is a game played by losers 99% of the time as any fan of any club knows all to well 😀.
