Good news for us, Barcelona to sign Griezemann so Laca stays with us. until someone else gets interested :)

1.) 15 May 2019 19:34:33
To br fair were Barcelona ever really interested?
If you were given the Barcelona job tomorrow would Lacasette be top of your list?
For us he is absolutely brilliant but on a world wide scale I'm not convinced the very very top clubs have him on their radar.

Do you guys read this sight? he's way way down on their list. You were a top contributor g62.

I am still trying to recover from yesterday’s defeat and where that has left us in the season now.

Still hoping that we can win the Europa league and get in to champions league…. fingers crossed.

It is absolute necessary for us to be in Champions league otherwise I fear we will not only loose our status but fall further down in the league, recovery from which will be a herculean task not to think of how long it may take.

It has been a strange season where two sides are fighting toe to toe for the title, next four teams trying best to not consolidate their positions in top four and the next four teams showing enough quality to threaten the status quo next season.

Since yesterday afternoon I have been occupied in pondering over all those what if events, if Aubameyang had scored that penalty against Spurs, if we have won the last three games and so on.

We have done most things right this seasons in terms of our results against the so called top six, what we have missed is putting up a run towards the end of the season and we have just fallen apart in our away games.

I am not at all going to blame Wenger or Emery for this fiasco and the blame completely lies with the board and the owner.

Players need to deliver on the pitch and unfortunately we don’t have the players who can stuck in there, I mean how difficult is it to understand that we don’t have to lose a game. The players just can’t respond or adjust to the situations in the game and that is the lack in quality we have. We have always gone for the leftovers rather than top quality.

If at all there is any wish for change in direction and we loosen the strings to invest in the squad, champions league is a must or even with the will we may not attract any top players.

1.) 29 Apr 2019 17:16:50
Agree with most, the season as a whole, now looking back was going ok until this last three awful games in a row.

2.) 29 Apr 2019 18:36:23
We can’t look back and say what if, we can only look forward to what we can actually do now. Also you can’t be biased when looking back. we can also say what if West Ham took points off us at the emirates when they should have, or what if Deeney never got sent off and AMN never made that last ditch tackle to save the open goal. This is football don’t beat yourself up over the past.

Nobody had us in the mix for top 4 at this stage of the season, we have 2 viable routes into the champions league with 4 games hopefully 5 games of the season left to play. We cannot blame anyone for this season, we all knew it was a transitional period that was going to be made harder with the lack of CL football and funding. if we manage to get a CL spot then there is nobody to blame what so ever as we would have over achieved, which I feel we have done even if we fall now at this last hurdle.

3.) 29 Apr 2019 21:25:09
We all know top 4 is only an option because others have been so poor too rather than us being better.
I never expected top 4 this season but I did expect us to become more resilient defensively, that in my opinion is where people are so disillusioned with Dicks first season not so much missing out on the 4th place finish.
4th place would be compensation for no improvement rather than proof of it should we somehow manage to get it in my opinion.

4.) 29 Apr 2019 22:15:16
Gunner, its not about all that, its about we will get what we deserve and we will finish where we deserve, regardless of the rest.

5.) 30 Apr 2019 08:26:55
No matter where we finish Steve 4th or 6th our team is no further forward 12 months on from Arsene leaving and the reason we wanted change was because we weren't happy with how Arsene did things.

19 Apr 2019 15:42:57
Do you think Emery's knowledge and experience of the la Liga will help us against Valencia? Also, i think we will beat Chelsea if we meet them in finals.

1.) 19 Apr 2019 16:15:20
If we both should make the final I think it might cone down to who needs to win the most, if we finish 4th and Chelsea 5th or 6th then obviously Chelsea seasons champions league ambitions will depend totally on the result of the final and of course it's vice versa should Chelsea finish 4th and us 5th or 6th.
Should United pip us both into 4th place then wow the stakes would be very very high in the Europa league final for both teams, there would be no hiding place for any player or either manager in that final that's for sure.

2.) 19 Apr 2019 18:00:09
I think the team who finishes 4th will have an advantage in the final, less pressure, but the bonus of sticking it to the other team and keeping them out.

3.) 19 Apr 2019 19:45:47
The champions league place is real prize Eden mate and the competition itself is still very much the champions league B league edition that it's always been that's why all big clubs and fans of Arsenal Chelsea City United Spurs and Liverpool all desperately hope to avoid being in it each season.

It's always nice to get a trophy but once champions league football is secured for next season the Europa league will suddenly be downgraded by the club who have successfully avoided being in it next season.

4.) 20 Apr 2019 20:48:44
Ithink his knowledge of the Europa league and playing Thursday sunday is the key. We have done better than chelski on our games after playing on a Thursday. They have struggled.

11 Apr 2019 22:22:40
With Watford, Leicester, wolves and Burnley away in PL, winning Europa League looks like our best chance to CL. I think we can win it if we beat Napoli and get into semis. Thoughts?

1.) 11 Apr 2019 23:19:50
Seeing as we can't play the final at home, and that it's likely to be against Chelsea, I wouldn't be overly optimistic.
By far the easiest fixtures in the race for top 4, if we lose out because we're incapable of playing away from home its a pretty dire situation.

2.) 11 Apr 2019 23:38:17
I don't know which to think is our best route, Like you say, those are tough away fixtures. But I still think the league should be our best chance of CL. I just don't know what to make of us mate. How can we be so good at home yet completely unrecognisable away! But to win the europa, we have to go away to napoli, most likely play valencia twice and then most likely play Chelsea in an away venue, where we seem incapable of turning up. Though that would be my preferred route obviously a cup and CL. We should be capable of winning the games in the league to get there, my worst fear is putting too much in to the europa league, missing out on top 4 and then losing to Chelsea in the final! Nightmare scenario!

3.) 11 Apr 2019 23:45:52
That's true Sir Wenger with 5 our of our last 7 games being away from home sees us fall out of the top 4 then it does suggests we have been a in a false position simply because of an in ballance in home/ away fixtures distorting the true picture.
On the other hand if over 38 games we are good enough to finish top 4 then that's undoubtedly improvement from where Dick came in, all to play for and winner takes it all.
Top 4 we are better than where Arsene left us and 5th or 6th no change here:-)

Hello Gunners,

How are you feeling about the new season?
What do you think of the result on Sunday?

1.) 09 Aug 2018 03:04:35
Extremely excited to start a new era under Emery. New tactics, new players, new manager and coaches. I would love us to secure Ramsey's signature and ideally bring in a player or two on the final day of the current window, but doubt any will come in. The major announcement seems to be securing Ramsey;s future at the club. Perhaps Chambers sudden departure was to free up wages towards Ramsey's contract.
Interesting to see the team selction and who will captain the team. Gut feeling is that Ramsey, if he signs a new deal, may be the new captain.
Cech or Leno?
Bellerin or Lichtsteiner?
Aubameyang and Lacazette?
Will Torreira start after his late arrival after the World Cup?

2.) 09 Aug 2018 06:58:09
RG61 do you even watch Arsenal? Ramsey offers nothing over 90minutes. He leaves his position constantly leaves massive gaps has no pace a woeful touch misses passes most of the time! Oh but he arrived in the box well every now and then to tap one in. What r people thinkin making him captain? Most over rated player sell him swap him just don’t start him. Torreira should b the first name on the sheet a player who’ll actually protect the back 4 let's be honest they’ll need it. Oh MYSCORE BET 1-4 city they will blow us away!

3.) 09 Aug 2018 07:13:03
MM - I adore the personal abuse that people of limited intelligence always aim at comments. Yes, I do watch Arsenal. Over the last decade under Wenger many players stagnated and often had to play out of position, in odd formations, with little structure or evidence of coaching. I have no doubt that Ramsey and many other players will flourish under Emery who will increase their fitness, coach them and play to their strengths. I am not sure that many Arsenal fans share your opinion of Ramsey and want him to stay. Torreira looks to be an excellent signing, but Sunday may be a tad early bearing in mind his late return to training following the World Cup. 4-1 to City, I doubt very much. Reports are that they will start without some of their World Cup players, including Sterling, De Bruyne and Silva. I can't see us winning, but a draw or a narrow defeat seem more likely.

4.) 09 Aug 2018 08:19:20
That's interesting MM. People on our website are predicting a 2-2 draw.

5.) 09 Aug 2018 08:24:25
😂😂😂 My personal favourite “ he arrives in the box every now and then to tap one in “ Just the winners in two FA Cup finals! Numpty! Said before good player try and keep him but offer him what Unai thinks he’s worth and up to him COYG.

6.) 09 Aug 2018 09:07:16
Improve his fitness? Runs round like a headless chicken all game, fitness is his only asset. Please name another point to his game? Yes arrived in the box got great timing for that didn’t see anyone debating his passing or pace or anything else that makes a decent midfielder? Ramsey breaks my heart I loved him pre leg break never got back after that. My Scorebet gunners are hopeful we always hav been, city had none of those players last week either and made light work of a far stronger Chelsea side all be it missing there best player. I hope we get an early goal get the crowd behind them. But does anyone like the look of that defence? I can only see us being destroyed on the break. I hope I’m wrong.

7.) 09 Aug 2018 12:36:01
Ramsey is a decent player in forward areas but I don't think he is all that great and crucial for us like a inform Ozil would be. I kind of put him in the same bracket as Xhaka in terms of overall value to us as a team. He is a player that is actually better off the ball than on it. Too often he dithers on the ball too much and is definitely Not a DM his passing is very hit and miss and his shooting is terrible but he does get into good positions often with his runs. Torreira will be more valuable to us in midfield and given time I think that Guendouzi and AMN both have more to offer than Ramsey has long term.

8.) 09 Aug 2018 13:39:32
Absolutely agree with that, only thing xhaka does that puts him ahead for me is sits deep in possession and spays it left and right as his passing range is decent when Elneny is in there you really miss that range of passing, mainly because he’s total turd IMO.

Only chance of Spurs losing out on Champions League next season is that we win 5-0 against Burnley and Everton beat spurs 4-0 or 3-0 and they also lose to Liverpool in Champions league final! I wonder what the odds are on this scenario :D

On another point, best season outcome will be we win Europa League, Liverpool win Champions League, City win Premier League and Watford win FA cup it would be a deserved outcome for all!

I agree that VAR will remove the joy and emotions from the game. The way VAR is used is not right, I think. Rather than the VAR referee checking for errors proactively, he should be only called upon to check if the on pitch referee or linesmen are in any doubt, otherwise no one will ever erupt from their seats when a goal is scored!

Totally support Emery but with tonight's line up he is clearly prioritising Europa League. Watford away is as tough a game as you get and the personnel don't give any confidence. Still hoping to win it. COYG!
