This is how I see things.

Wenger stays. I have no problem with that.

If Sanchez leaves, I don't care who we buy, or how much we spend, we will not be any stronger than we are now.

If he leaves, things don't look good.

Jeez, I'm beginning to sound like Steve 😁.

Perez Β£70,000, Giroud Β£100,000, Walcott Β£110,000, Debuchy Β£70,000, Gibbs Β£60,000, Wilshere Β£90,000, Jenkinson Β£45,000.

That's Β£540,00 a week in wages and in reality only 2 have made any significant contribution. Time to trim the squad, should get a few million for that lot too.

Pay Sanchez and Ozil the money and get a top striker as priority and a gem of a midfielder.

I'm behind Wenger as no other option but hugely disappointed that unlike City's owner Kroenke hasn't come out and said Sanchez is going nowhere as they've said about Aguero.

Well that's Sanchez wages sorted.

Agree Stoner, their silence speaks volumes.

They can go elsewhere and get the money and challenge for top honours. I generally thought no top4 would push wenger out and we would push for allegri. That appointment I believed could tempt them two to stay. Boy was I wrong.

I've read this morning that Wenger wants to do what it takes to make a sustained challenge for the league, a SUSTAINED CHALLENGE!

That really just makes me think wtf, seriously since you've had money mate wtf have you been doing if it takes the signing of a new contract to say that now.

I've felt like I've been patient forever with him but Jesus, sustained challenge, I could seriously slap him.

As Henry has just said, raise yourself for one game on one day is a totally different ball game to raising yourself for 38 games over a season.

I'm behind the team but sadly have absolutely no faith in him achieving anything. He really has to do so much to get me back on his side.

This isn't Wenger in Wenger out but that comment really winds my watch.

He is so, so, so frustrating. 😀.

It's not just as easy as selling others to find their wages. You honestly think either are worth upwards of Β£300K a week!?

Sell both to the highest bidder and be done with them. Arsenal don't tolerate mercenaries. There are other players available and I firmly believe Arsenal won't be any worse off come the start of the new season.

I remember ed002 telling me santi was out of contract this summer and many was saying that as well despite one paper saying he signed an extension. Today he said arsenal gave me a one year extension before my op. Why on earth did they keep that so quiet.

{Ed002's Note - Then Arsenal should inform UEFA about Cazorla (as they did about Mertesacker on January 20.}

So even ed wasn't aware. And I trust him more that you guys πŸ˜›.

I've jusy got one little bit of advice to our new striker. Change your name on your shirt "Henry" it will be a monkey on your back. But not to franny.

31 May 2017 20:11:09
Hopefully he doesn't get isolated upfront and end up in a vacuum. On the name front - he's just needs to suck it up.

As Arsene is now staying I think its time we stopped hearing about players we nearly signed or have watch until their playing days are over only to do nothing. The problem I have is after hearing the same old stories every year about how much we will spend, we are constantly left disappointed. I know we must all thank Arsene for the way he managed the club through our move to a new stadium and the years immediately after this when money was tight. But to be honest I have trouble even watching his interviews anymore, as I don't believe what I am hearing. Please Arsene just tell us the truth and change our transfer policy, especially allowing players contracts to run down, our coaching techniques and our medical team. Also take on a young second in command whom you can install The Arsenal philosophy into and take some advise from. Up until I retired I had apprentices and as well as teaching them, I was also learning from them every day. From now on I am going to try and be positive, please Arsene don't let us down. I would love to see you regain that old magic and take us back to the top.

N7 Arsene has admitted in the past he says a lot of things he doesn't really think are true himself, he quite often says stuff he thinks people want to hear.
Like today when he says he is only interested in signing Top top quality players I wouldn't rush out and buy any of those Ranaldo Messi or Bale shirts just yet :-)
It's just Arsenespeaak and he knows as much as anyone top top players won't be joining us this summer but he also knows we're going to lose Sanchez and probably Ozil too so he's just trying to sound like everything is really positive at the club even though people know it's not the case.

Can I just say this.
Let's leave it out with the 'Wenger In or Out'.

The subject has been thrashed to within a centimetre of its life.
It is what it is. I'm bored to tears with listening and reading over and over again about the same old subject.

Fact is he is signing a new contract that's it. So just get over it and let's move on and try and bring some positvity to this site.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed033's Note - How about saying, 'Shake it all about', rather than saying 'In Out, In Out'.
That's what it's all about. 😎

31 May 2017 15:04:45
Fair point Lanesra.

But you forgot to mention. Are you "in" or "out"?

31 May 2017 15:25:53
Dags, I'm in, I'm so far in, I'm in balls deep. I just want to move on now.

Thats a bit late, its wenger in. The opinions on here like I keep saying don't matter. Its all now about what happens next season, whatever we think.

31 May 2017 16:29:37
"Balls deep" lol.

31 May 2017 17:22:34
Balls deep, is that like the Cannon and the Wheels!

{Ed033's Note - No, like the Riddick and the Dahl.

It's the back wheels stoner 😁.

So the big stories are wenger signs 2 year deal. Ozil and Sanchez want out. That's gooner go down well.

31 May 2017 11:57:39
I've not seen stories today about ozil or Alexis.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 12:40:08
Take that back Steve just seen a few on Alexis. It's a shame but if he's desperate to go let him. Arsenal will
Still go on.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 12:48:17
D not sure they are 100% true but a couple of reports say sanchez wants to go to bayern and ozil wants to run his contract down and leave. Arsenal won't allow the latter so if true both will be gone. I've always said, these reports are not always 100% but there is no smoke without fire. Plus if they wanted to stay they would have sorted it out by now, to much stalling and flannel.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 13:46:59
i see the point of letting the player go, however we would need to get a princely sum for a player of his calibre.

we must not forget they beat us 10-2, imagine with alexis how much better they will be.

how are we not giving these players better contracts?

alot going wrong at the club and its a shame wenger signed on to be the scapegoat, figured he was a smart man, obviously just cynical in thinking he can turn it around after all these years of proving nothing. i'm not against him signing on, but if we lose players he is doing nothing but keeping himself wide open to abuse.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 13:49:17
I think they'll go. But if that's the case get on with it and get suitable replacements in. I just read arsene, Ivan, Stan talking bout the new contract saying how we want to win and that's our aim. Go out there and show everyone in the market. Fed up each summer Us dragging our heels taking our time.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 14:15:17
Larker mate all those who were happy with Arsene staying yesterday should still happy at the end of the season no matter what comes.
The support for Arsene from the majority of fans and board members wasn't based on them thinking he was the man who was going to deliver titles for us the support was for the man himself regardless of his capabilities to make us a competitive force again.
People should remember that and not turn on him at any point because he's done a 20 year audition for this new contract we all know his strengths and weaknesses inside out so if anyone who was who wanted this new contract yesterday changes their mind that's there bad not Arsenes imo as the club and Arsene has given them exactly what they wanted, 2 more years under Arsenes management.

Agree1 Disagree1

31 May 2017 15:29:58
No gunner they have given us exactly what we all want and in their words a contract to win the prem and the top trophies in europe. Just not sure like some of the players we have bought, their judgement is correct. Sorry if that's negative, its my judgement. They will be judged on their success or failure i'm sure.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 16:13:19
My point is Steve no one actually thought " let's give Arsene 2 more years he will make us champions " people backed him because they like him.
People hope he will make us champions of course we all do but I doubt anyone actually thinks it's going to happen, why would they?
What is there that would make anyone expect that to happen ?
This contract is not based on his ability to make us competitive it's based 100% on loyalty to Arsene.
We all know that mate and its what the majority wanted and that same majority should back their own chioce 100% come rain or shine under Arsene.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 16:45:02
I will disagree on one point, it wasn't the majority that wanted wenger but the board. I've not seen anywhere whete he's ever got a majority vote in his favour, not that any of it matters. Like I said yesterday, people's thoughts are just thoughts, what matters is the results.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 17:42:24
Steve people have been switching slowly back from the out campaign ever since we went to 3 at the back formation and results started picking up and beating Chelsea in the final swayed many many more back into line.

People I know who had finally had enough a few months back are well and truly back onboard the the Wenger bus mate, you only have to look at this page to see that many posters who had finally given up on Arsene this season are once again happy for him to stay and are happy with both the club and Arsene decision.
Everywhere I look mate the majority are happy with this outcome.

Agree0 Disagree0

31 May 2017 19:42:16
Gunner the suns out, when it rains next week they will change their minds again. People I know are more steadfast in what they think, they don't see any change from last week. Probably because there isn't any yet. Some have just submitted. Lol.
