Seriously, Wenger's control over spending shouldn't be a significant concern to us. He's produced a fair few good squads over the years and has had quite a few very shrewd purchases in those squads.
Most of the problems that bother us, like not showing up for the big games, sleepwalking into the first half of games or even significant injuries to key players, might well stop bothering us if he moved upstairs.

i reckon PSG or some italian team will snap him up in the summer or maybe man utd, but i don't see arsenal going in for him. perhaps chelsea if they are sure diego costa will leave.

Hi guys I normally respect your posts. But please don't flippantly state 'offload Giroud'. He has shown nothing but loyalty for Arsenal as you should also. He has got a very good goals record and has a better mentality than Benzema.

in the context of what was being said to bring a player like benzema, we do need to offload/ sell giroud. that is the premise.
does not mean he is rubbish.

If I am totally honest! If Wenger stayed I wouldn't mind only if he stopped buying crap players and stop scouting youngsters that just aren't good enough like this wolves winger! That's my pet hate all the other teams bring in proven players and we get "ones for the future " well where are the "ones dor the future " we bought in the last ten ten years, what I would want is a massive clear out and I mean big:

Champions league used to be the European cup Jelfy mate and you used to need to win your own league to get in it and 4th place got you into the Uafa cup if you were lucky mate.
A relaxing of the criteria to be part of Europe's premier competition has given Arsene umpteen chances previous manages didn't have the luxury of.
I doubt George Graham's​ Arsenal teams would have been the last 16 whipping boys 7 seasons running.
