Use our rumours form to send us arsenal transfer rumours.

It was nice to have some positivity after the past few weeks. If rather focus on events in the pitch from now on. I'm starting to warm to Ramsey again and hope his form keeps improving. We lack nippy midfielders so hopefully he can avoid injury because we all know what he's capable of. Do you think Wilshere has a chance of getting in the first team now Coq is injured. We only have Elneny as back up and this could be an issue. Fingers crossed for a positive performance against Chelsea and more fans get behind the team.

I prefer Ramsey in an attacking midfield role. Against Bournemouth you will get away with it, but this may prove more problematic against the likes of Chelsea. It's interesting that we are still being linked with Lemar and Sterling, yet it's clear that we need a CB and a DM player. As I keep repeating Van Dyke and N'zonzi would transform the team.

I agree on Ramsey RG, he's an attacking player and should be considered as one.
Any defensive work he does is a bonus and can never be relied on.
For me it's Ramsey or Ozil or Ramsey and Ozil plus a striker at most.
Le Coq is out so I'm not sure what we do in cmf against Chelsea now.
Xhaka and Kol I guess with Monreal at lb and Holding coming into the back 3?
If Mertesacker plays Chelsea will most definitely exploit him this time and we will get stuffed out of sight .
In my opinion Conte won't waste another opportunity to do so.

Well done Danny Welbeck, doing your best to prove all the doubters on here wrong. Got the ability, just needs games (Where have we heard that before lol) and a run in the team. It still begs the question with so much attacking talent, Sanchez, lacazette, welbeck, Walcott, ozil and giroud, why the hell didn't we bring in a couple of bruisers for midfield and defence. We at our best can trouble the best but we will never look water right with the players we have and its so obvious. Why was it not addressed.

once we get rid of Wenger, I'm sure these problems will finally be addressed.

Here we go again . A three nil win and steves on the neggo! And yes I know it means nothing the win in the grand scheme of things but I'm sure we all agreed that players were not brought in positions we need. Windows shut mate and yeah I heard you last week. What's your stance again steve?

10 Sep 2017 16:59:12
Sano as usual you have to get personal and ignore the positives in the post. It was an obvious observation and yes I know the transfer window is closed and yes there is nothing anyone can do about it. By the way do you ever post or just wait to slag posts off. It would be nice to see a post from you.

Agree2 Disagree1

10 Sep 2017 18:06:33
What positives? You giveth in one hand and taketh away in the other. Your the man who highlights the conceded goal in a 5-1 win. Your not and Arsenal fan I think I've said before. And if replying is getting personal then yeah I went there . And I haven't posted in a while because I'm letting the suicidal indulge.

Agree3 Disagree2

10 Sep 2017 18:51:53
Sano I've counted at least three positive statements and one negative. Your problem is what? If You want to only see everything in a negative light, then that's a problem I can't help you with. It was a post, it was an observation, it was an opinion but according to you, it was negative. Some advice, if you don't like what you read, ignore it, that's what I do.

10 Sep 2017 18:54:21
Chill out you two.

Peace, love and harmony 😁.

10 Sep 2017 18:48:21
Steve, if we beat Real Madrid 5-0 would you pick the negatives from the game?

10 Sep 2017 19:29:58
Everybody should read Steve's post again.
He wasn't being negative. Just asking a question that has baffled every Arsenal supporter for years.

By that very token Dags it's been asked thousands of times each year and more by some than others.

None of us have the answer, I wish I could answer it to put so many out of their misery but the simple answer is I and we can't.

Our manager gets beaten for repetition, saying and doing the same things over and over.

Posters on here and I'm not picking out individuals because there are many, repeat the same things over and over and over, doing the very thing that bugs them.

Stoner,
I totally agree. Bit like when Mrs Dags ask's for housekeeping.

Mrs Dags: "Dags, can I have housekeeping please? "
Me: "No, go away".
Mrs Dags: "Sorry".
Me: "It's ok, no harm in asking".

Same scenario on here 😁.

I'm actually with Steve on this 100% no one is making anyone read each others posts, you can usually tell in the first line where the post is going and I'm some cases who the poster is without scrolling down to thier name.
Simply give the post a miss if it annoys you that much or better still offer an alternative view because then we have a healthy diverse page rather than a load of Stepford Gooners.

10 Sep 2017 20:42:46
Dags thanks for that. I thought the post was positive but hey ho, who am I to judge. I will just have to go back to negative, then even I will agree its negative. i'm just mot used to all this trolling. Lol.

Hi Stoner mate I got that and it was it made me chuckle :-)
I'm always disappointed when I read a post all the way through getting really annoyed and thinking how much I disagree with every word only to get to the bottom of it to find out it's one mine :-)
I usaully just give it the thumbs rush :-)

Good win yesterday albeit against a very poor Bournemouth, but as they say you can only beat what's in front of you. I was slightly surprised by the negative response to Sanchez when he came on, with a very audible booing from the crowd, and most fans around me very hostile towards him. Also both he and Ozil walked straight off at the end not staying out to celebrate and wave to the fans (again Sanchezes quick departure noted by fans with plenty of expletives shouted at him) . I was happy that Sanchez stayed but on hindsight perhaps not, as the fans don't want him at the club. I was though disappointed that Wellbeck, on a hat-trick, and loyal, was substituted for Sanchez. Ozil was having a good game but it should have been him taken off for Sanchez, if any. Perhaps that's the answer, we play one contract rebel at most, either Ozil or Sanchez but not both at the same time? Finally bid kudos to Ramsey who had a great game, but who to be honest won't get an easier game all season.

10 Sep 2017 14:05:09
I don't get people booing Sanchez but it's their money they've used to buy the seat so its up to them how they enjoy it I guess.
Booing Cesc and Sanchez who booth served the club with distinction simply because their ambitions were greater than the clubs says more about Arsenal than it does them in my opinion.

Considering the crap that has been going on around the club this summer, I thought the atmosphere was better than it could have been. The early goal helped and next week could be a small step forward or another one back. Bournemouth were poor but we can't help that and the job was done.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2017 16:31:26
I've a feeling it will all be back to the drawing board after next Sunday's game, but that is up to the players and in the end the way they represent the club on the day.
They don't have be win or even get a draw (although a win would be unbelievably brilliant and a draw more than satisfactory) but above all else they have to fight from 1st to last minute and if they do that they will win a lot of respect from many who have been less than complimentary about them in recent years fans and pundits alike regardless of the result.
No team can promise to win any match but all players can promise to give 100% in their clubs shirt in every game and if Arsenal players suddenly started to do that week in week out we would all see a major uplift in all fans attitude towards them and the atmosphere at the Emirates.
The ball is very much in the players courts as they lost so many peoples respect with thier consistent lack of fight on far too many occasions over recent years, next Sunday is yet another chance to start earning back that respect rather than simply expecting it to be given to them simply because they went and clapped the fans after yet another lack luster performance that resulted in yet another humiliation for the Arsenal.
I know if it was me i'd want fans respect much more than their support out of habit.

I agree to a point gunner but for reasons that are obvious a draw is minimum and a win is needed. A loss of any sort would not be good.

Agree0 Disagree0

10 Sep 2017 17:48:06
I think neither of us expect to be involved in the title race Steve so in the grand scheme of things the result won't have a great baring on our season either way in mine or your opinion.
But the performance of the players and effort determination and passion shown on the day could go a long long way to regaining the respect of a lot of Arsenal fans pundits and the footballing public who have long since written them off as uninterested pampered unambitious group happy to go through the motions each season.
That alone would be a result for the players the manager and the club not to mention the fans themselves most of who just want see a reason to be excited again from a club and group of players who have by their own actions lost many peoples backing and patience.

10 Sep 2017 18:53:08

10 Sep 2017 22:59:48
My expectations of the club and the current team are two very different things Steve.
My expectations of the club is for them to do all they can to make us best we can possibly be.
My expectations of the current team is to be seen as giving their all in every game, it's not their fault if we have weaknesses or the managers team selection is bizarre but it is their fault so many people question their attitude and commitment.

If negative comments attract negativity then surely positive ones attract positivity?
Well I read every season that we are going to win the title and Arsene is always positive about our chances and always talks about good transfer window, what's happening mate? :-)

Ed001,
A compliment for you.
Your match preview's are a brilliant read. Totally up to date with injuries and suspensions, and your analysis of key players and form are bang on.
A thoroughly enjoyable read, only spoilt by Ed025's score predictions, that are about as accurate as Stevie Wonder playing darts 😁😁

Keep up the good work mate.

PS, only joking Ed025 😁.

{Ed001's Note - cheers dags, I am glad you enjoy. I do them each Premier League match day now, though they won't always link on here, so you might have to go to the FNV site to find them. That is if you want to read the ones which don't feature Arsenal of course!}

10 Sep 2017 08:35:08
Will do Ed. Thank you.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate. Just glad you enjoy them. Makes them worth writing when there is at least one person who wants to read them.

As for Ed025's predictions, you have obviously seen how he picks the scores. Dartboard, blindfold and two darts. I had to point out to him the other week that a team is unlikely to score 20 in one match.}

10 Sep 2017 09:09:41
Thanks also ed 1, much appreciated!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - thank you RR, glad you enjoy them too. I actually enjoy doing them, I learn a lot doing the research and seeing things that normally I wouldn't notice in regards to form. I never normally look at other teams to see their form etc, so it is very interesting to look at for me.}

10 Sep 2017 09:37:29
I think we are all guilty of becoming insular and consentreating on our own team to much and lose sight of the bigger picture sometimes We so it's really good to get a wider perspective of things.
Will look forward to reading them each week. Thank you.
What is the FNV mate?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - football-news-views.co.uk, the site the reviews etc get posted on. Sorry I really should have linked it in the initial post. Was an oversight on my part, get so used to using the abbreviation when discussing it between editors that I forgot other people would not know.}

10 Sep 2017 10:09:40
Wow just a had a quick look from the link you posted Ed, that's brilliant and i recommend all posters should take a look too.
There looks some excellent reading there mate. Thank you.

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate, not all written by me like but I am happy to accept the credit for the good stuff! ;-)

I accept it's not all brilliant Ed mate but you can't leave Ed025 out completely can you, he has to be allowed some input somewhere :-)
