We do need a cb and a cm but we definitely need a cf too. No way we can compete with the top teams without a significant improvement up top. Giroud and Welbeck simply don't cut it.

Now I'm sure I'm clutching at straws and cannot see it happening. But pires has said he believes arsenal will sign mbappe this summer. Ahead of all the other clubs with the riches. As I said can't see it but bit strange someone close to arsene and the club has said that.

Pires is a 100% Arsene man through and through so will say anything he thinks makes Arsene sound good.
What reason does Pires give for they players surprise choice of clubs? Oh it's Arsene himself of course.
It's just pre new contract propaganda that will be swept under the carpet quite easily when he stays at Monaco or moves elsewhere.
If Pires is positioning himself as Arsenes eventual replacement he needs to up his creditably levels on spinning nonsense.

I actually think that a move to arsenal would be the best move for mbappe, but again can't see it happening.

The spin from the club will come out eg we will spend 200 mill, there will be change, sanchez and ozil will be offered 280,000 a week, we will have a big clearout, we are after lacazette and mbappe etc etc we won't get mbappe and we won't spend 200 mil and there will be no big changes.

If wenger stays and top money isn't spent on top players there's going to be hell to pay. It's the only way I see him salvaging his legacy. He's tried the back three so let's hope he continues on his un -Wenger esque dalliance and actually pays the coin needed and is ruthless in his approach for players and offloads the dead wood. The thing that has pissed me off in all this is the fact that there seems to be no plan. It looks from the outside in amature to say the least.
