DT and others are protesting against Kroenke Sunday.

19 May 2017 19:10:24
The club is valued at 1.4 bn, so a bid that is just under that for 67% could be accepted.

Rg61 way I see it stan brought at a great time got a stadium out of the gamble. Wenger got him many years of champions league. Top4 is harder than ever now and wil get harder. Stans vision won't get us in imo. If we don't get top4 sunday that's a lot of cash missing. He will take the cash and run I feel.

As I said on the rumour page, Usmanovs wealth has apparently increased by over 4 billion this year so he definitely has the money.

Other big factors maybe Kroenke moving his American Football franchise to a completely different state and his recent acquisition of that massive ranch.

It would be fantastic to get rid of that utter dope.

It's a battle between two billionaires and it will be like strutting peacocks trying to out rich each other.

19 May 2017 20:17:17
Let's just hope this is the beginning of negotiations. All we have to go on at the moment are the medias take on events and if to be believed that kronke didn't initially turn it down then he was thinking about it and if he's thinking about it maybe he is trying to bait an higher offer. It's not as if he needs the money but he is a business man and will not turn down the right offer but the right offer will be all about saving face and been able to come out of it looking like he's got the better deal.

19 May 2017 20:19:18
Wes you are right but remember it's just for stans shares percentage. Apparently silent stan has lived up to his name, bid made in april and he hasn't responded yet. Stan get out and take your cronies with you. Please.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2017 22:13:14
Usmanov not only is richer than kroenke, but also seems to know one or two things about football. He has done so many interviews talking about the direction of the club. Would you have a guy like that or one who doesn't care at all? They don't call him silent stan for no reason. He is on record saying he never bouht Arsenal to win trophies. That alone should have made fans protest. Interestig times ahead.

20 May 2017 00:04:11
Possession is 9/ 10 of the negotiating price, make Stan an offer even he can't refuse, surely if he has 4 billion in his back pocket he wasn't expecting he can offord to do what it takes? If he's serious.

Its like buying a house you like you want it have the cash but are not going to pay 350k for a house that others on the street going for 250k. No matter how much you love it. Hos offer may increase but even at thay offer stans profit is huge. And he can walk away always having champions league cash. We drop out now with stan no easy way back in. Drop out with usmanov in confident we get back in.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2017 11:06:24
If you won 20 million on the lottery would you pay the 350 grand it took to get the house you've always wanted and told the world you wanted Derby? Or would you stick to market value and take another house instead?
Seems a waste of time to have all that vast wealth if your going to compromise on your dreams for the sake of a few extra bob in the bank mate.

20 May 2017 14:34:02
No gunner I wouldn't just because i'm rich I wouldn't walk into range rover and go heres double get em a car or give star bucks £20 for a coffee. Which is around double lol. i'm sure usmanov buys shares at prices he seems fit. If not he'd lose out a lot of times no in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

20 May 2017 15:32:16
its the same argument when utd fans say it doesn't matter if they get ripped off for players because they have loads of money, it still seems stupid. but like you say, if its a one off house that you really like do you pay whatever it takes to get it? you probably still wouldn't want to go to much higher and feel ripped off?

Any one think Tony Adams views from his new book on Wenger are right? And do you think if he did have a role at arsenal, he'd be able to help the defense out like he says he could?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

19 May 2017 17:42:16
He's doing great at Granada so doubt he'd be tempted. anyone can talk the talk but ask Neville about walking the walk.

19 May 2017 17:53:06
Personally, I think our Tone is as nutty as a fruitcake. Amazing guy, has been on a personal journey that takes courage and commitment and of course was a world class defender.

His managerial and coaching "career" has been chequered to put it mildly, and he does not seem to be the warmest or most personable individual in any interviews I've read about him or with him speaking in.
I think his immortality at Arsenal remains on the pitch - who can forget his brilliant volley against Everton on the sun to complete a memorable win and season? I think my memories are best left there without him sullying this through some misguided attempt to "solve" Arsenal's issues.

Getting rid of that pompous ass Wenger - "Hmmm, I may leave, or I may not, but I am so self important I play you all along to my own amusement, irrespective of the devastation that may lead to for the Club I purportedly love".

19 May 2017 18:49:59
Adams was an awesome player. I suggest he looks at Wenger's managerial record and compares it to his own.

Agree0 Disagree0

19 May 2017 20:02:23
He's just showing what a good defensive coach he is as Granada have just gone 2 down after 8 minutes! 😱.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, he did only say Wenger could not coach, nothing about managing and he does have a point. Wenger does not do the coaching as has been pointed out by many former players. One current player, who I won't name, has said that he does not know what Wenger actually does, as he never sees him on the training ground.}

20 May 2017 08:23:19
Christ that's crazy ed, so does Bouldy do the training and unless Bouldy is hopeless why is some of our defending still so bad on occasions or is he simply told what he can and can't do with the squad?

Also begs the question why players praise him and say he's taught them so much, Henry being an example or does that mean this is a more recent change.

Klopp, Conte, Mourinho and Guardiola I can't imagine would ever be away from the training ground.

My comment on Adams was that he felt he wasn't given a chance to be the defensive coach here and I was watching Sly News who at that moment reported Granada had gone 2 down after 8 minutes, thus so much for his defensive coaching 😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Bould takes the training, but Wenger will tell him exactly what to train, as he does with every facet of the club. It is always to his instructions.

Being taught something doesn't necessarily mean it is in training. Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho, Alex Ferguson, Harry Redknapp etc etc do not (or did not in Fergie's case) take training either. They can still teach you things by sitting down and discussing things that they have spotted in games or that the coaches have mentioned to them. Rafa used to always point out to Steven Gerrard about how he was running too much during games, rather than congratulate him on a good performance, he would point out what he could have done better etc.

Guardiola is a particularly hands on coach, rather than a manager like Wenger and the ones mentioned previously. Unlike Wenger, who micromanages all aspects of the club, Guardiola is obsessively micromanaging every aspect of the football played. During training he will be constantly talking to players, instructing them what he wants. Both for me are examples of people who need to learn to delegate more.

I would not judge Adams on the mess at Granada, it is an impossible job on his hands dealing with the shambles left behind by the Pozzos. Most of the players are not even owned by the club itself, so they just don't care as they won't be there next season.}

20 May 2017 09:09:00
Thanks ed much appreciated again, out of interest are you a fan of Guardiola re your comment about him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - not really. He has some fantastic ideas but I am more of a fan of the coaches he has taken his ideas from - Marcelo Bielsa and Juanma Lillo. Pep needs to stop turning his players into what he wants them to be and coaching the team to play to the strengths of the players he has.}

20 May 2017 13:21:35
Thanks again ed, it was good to read up on those two guys and both still in football. Well Bielsa going to Lille for next season and interesting that Lillo is with Sampaoli at Seville.

Much appreciated mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I love Bielsa, he is a mad genius! Lillo is fascinating as well, the more I read about him, the more I think the guy is a genius too.}

With Tony Adams' comments in his new book coming to light. Does anyone actually think he could make a difference to the arsenal defense? And do you think he's right about what he said regarding Wenger?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

19 May 2017 17:13:49
Well I think we do need someone in that respect To shout and organise our defence. But to say wenger can't coach is stupid. Regardless of your views I'm sure most agree the man has shown he is a capable manager. Sour grapes?

19 May 2017 20:54:54
D adams isn't the only ex player to say that.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - and Adams never said anything bad about his management, just coaching.}

dont know if anyone watched the league two playoffs. as i'm from exeter we don't get many exciting games down here but both legs of both playoffs were brilliant! shame there's not more games like that in the prem. technically pretty shocking! but for edge of your seat entertainment it doesn't get much better! didn't know was going to win and last minute drama! both teams trying to win certainly beats both teams trying not to lose! i imagine the europa league final will be stale by comparison! thankfully exeter won and luton didn't win by cheating! sorry not arsenal related, just wanted to share my joy! we don't get much down here! XD.

Hi eds just a quick question. Now I apologise in advance if this is stupid. With spurs playing at Wembley next season what would happen if they reached the FA cup semis or final? Would the game be relocated to a different venue? I remember reading something a few years back when the CL final was to be played at a stadium who's team was in the competition and in the event that team reached the final it was announced that there was a back up stadium. Not moaning just interested.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - As far as I am aware, nothing will change. In 2012 Chelsea played Bayern Munich in Munich in the Champions League final.}

19 May 2017 09:28:35
Cheers for that ed.
