Think we all love a player that genuinely loves the club rather than just kisses the badge right?
So IMO Sanchez and his crazy wage demands can just leave preferably abroad. Use the money wisely, replace properly. TBH who thought Sanchez was the player is when he was at on Barcelona's bench?
Credit is due to AW there BTW.

I've been supporting Arsenal since the 70's and have seen some dross in my time, some good times too (most of them under AW as manager) although the '79 cup final is still one of my highlights :)
My point is, support the team and provide positive vibes not bullshit moaning like you deserve to be watching ballet every week.

So, back to Sanchez. If you wanna moan and be a prick, best you do one IMO.
For me NO-ONE is irreplaceable, we are Arsenal!
The best players are the ones who want to play for the club. Bergkamp, Henry, Brady, even Scyescny!

If we take a good positive squad into the new season with good support behind the team like back at Highbury we can push for the league. If the fans get on the teams and AW back then it can all go to shit. Do we really need Sanchez being a dick, as good a footballer as he is?!

Who knows.

Didn't Henry go to Barcelona? Just saying.
Arsenals ambition hasn't matched Sanchez ambition during his time with the club but still he's been head and shoulders our best player since he arrived, do we really need to part as enemy's? Rather than with mutual respect?

You aren't suggesting there's a bit of a theme gunner are you.

22 Jul 2017 02:51:29
Sanchez is pure class, but he craves being the big shot.

I personally think he has a major attitude problem, and he needs to be the centre of attention at all times.

Arsenal needs to bring in a few footballers, rather than the miniature tiki takes he seems to love.

Xhaka to have a storming season this year!

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Sanchez does no such thing mate. He does not want to be the centre of attention at all. What he wants is to win trophies, the big trophies, not the 4th place trophy. He wants to be in it to win it, not make up the numbers like Arsenal do in the Champions League. It is frustration at having a bunch of also rans around him, who don't care whether they win or lose. It is the rest that crave the attention, that is why they waste so much time on social media with their idiotic videos, trying to get themselves lots of 'followers' to tell them how great they are. Sanchez doesn't want to be told he is great, he wants to prove he is great, that is the difference.

He should be the player you built around. The winner. The driving force and the best player you have. Instead you will have Danny Bambi on ice Welbeck leading the way to midtable mediocrity, because he is a nice guy who doesn't complain about losing. People like Wilshere will be the hero because he is local, though crap, and will tell people what they want to hear.}

22 Jul 2017 07:03:32
Nice one 01. Well said mate.
For me Sanchez has been carrying the team since he's been there. He works tirelessly on the pitch with little or no equivalent talent around him.

I've said it since Sanchez arrived at Arsenal for what we paid it was a steal! nothing short of that. Arsenal messed up big time last season we should have been clearing out the crap this time last season and built a great team round him. Now that the crap has hit the fan we can't seem to try and spend some money quick enough. Too little too late! .
Seriously! Just step back and take a look at what he has to play with? I'm going to stick my neck out and even say Ozil what's the big fuss about him? . How many times have I seen the opposition go pass him and their he is strolling around and can't seem to be bothered to run 2 yards to fight for the ball. Let me say this Ozil ain't no big deal! . But the frightening thing is the rest are even worse . Welbeck. Ramsey, Walcott, that joker Wilshire, Iwobi, Need I go on? and do you know what? If the aux wanted to leave I wouldn't blame him either at least you can see a bit of fight in him in the last 2 seasons. Arsenal are not looking for a replacement for Sanchez we've all said it by now they know as well as we do top genuine players want to be in the Champions League. So unless we are going to pay ridiculous wages we haven't got a cat in hells chance.
Mbappe! don't make me laugh .

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it just feels like there is no ambition there. The club were happy just to get him, rather than using him as a catalyst to go for trophies.}

22 Jul 2017 07:22:03
Ed01. More like to keep the supporters happy. What is it with Arsenal? Are we only capable of buying one decent player at a time. ? . To be fair when you look at things it's a wonder we have finished in the top 4 as many times as we have. It's either by shear luck or the other teams being poorer than what we imagined.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is why so many say be careful what you wish for with regards to Wenger, as many believe he has been the one keeping you in the top four.}

22 Jul 2017 07:30:12
While I'm on a roll . I've read and heard that teams that are supposedly interested in Mbappe wouldn't necessarily make him a regular guaranteed starter in their squad!
Errrrrr who's going to pay near on 100 million pound plus and leave the guy as a sub? . He ain't no classic car where you lay out heaps of money then lock it away in a vacuum and wait for the value to go up.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - he is that good that I am not sure any team is that good he would not get in the team.}

22 Jul 2017 07:56:30
Totally agree Ed001, before Sanchez joined us he would have met Arsene and during that meeting Sanchez will have told the club his hunger and ambition to win titles and champions league medals and in return Arsene will have said the club match his hunger and ambition 100%,
Sanchez has kept his side of the bargain and could not have done more on his own to make those ambitions a reality, it's the club who haven't matched Alexis undoubted hunger and determination.
There is absolutely no need for this character assassination of Alexis Sanchez just because he wants to challenge for top honours.
Let's be better fans and bigger people than to turn on a player who has given everything to our club for 3 seasons and who we will make a profit on when we sell him.
Let's thank the man for 3 brilliant years service and set about replacing him the best we can, it's the grown up intelligent dignified thing to do.

Agree1 Disagree0

22 Jul 2017 11:24:31
Wow ed if I'd said that, I would have got lynched, great replies. Some people need to get the rose specs off.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I just don't understand how anyone can criticise Sanchez for wanting to win and call it a bad attitude. If you are 5-0 up and he is on the pitch and whining, then he has a bad attitude. However, when he is digging out his teammates as you are playing poorly and losing, that is will to win, not a bad attitude. That is him trying to get more from those around him. I can remember the likes of Tony Adams constantly screaming at their teammates when their team was not doing well. It is what you need more of not less.}

21 Jul 2017 20:03:51
Just seen the teams in the Europa and we are ranked way above the others so easy win next may. We are also ranked higher in Europe than chelski or man utd, yeah right.

21 Jul 2017 21:35:14
Yeah right any official ranking can't possibly be right If it makes Arsenal look half decent. Obviously a load of crap as were rubbish p.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 22:27:55
No sano can't be right we have always done better in Europe than them two. I think compared to them we are giants of Europe.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 23:37:15
Are we ranked 11th?

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2017 00:17:52
Correct Dags, mind you wasn't Belgian ranked no 1 in the world, another strange thing. Can't remember them ever winning anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jul 2017 00:43:17
Do you understand how that ranking works? Unlike those two sides Arsenal haven't missed out entirely on European football in any of the five last seasons so naturally Arsenals coefficient is higher. This year with the EL will hurt the coefficient score since it offers less points unless you go really far.

And btw despite the fact they have had seasons without European football the difference to United who's the "furthest" behind is just 6 points so clearly Arsenal have been poor in Europe. And the only reason Chelsea is behind in the 17/ 18 ranking because they drop the points from 12/ 13 when they won the EL.

You're also incorrect because in the club-coefficient ranking that actually counts which is 12/ 13-16/ 17 Chelsea are ranked 10th and Arsenal 11th and that's still despite Chelsea getting less than 3 points for the entire 16/ 17 season.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed033's Note - All that ranking is enough to make you go blind πŸ˜‹.

22 Jul 2017 01:22:28
Lol Ed, very good 😁.

It will be interesting to see who has signed the best striker for next season, with us man u and chelski replacing the second third and fourth highest scorers in last year's Orem.

BBC are running a poll on this right now and last time I checked Lacazette was roughly 25% ahead in a cross section of football fans views.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 19:50:17
You need a good set of thumbs to get the best out of these new phones Steve, I think this your problem stems from mate :-)

21 Jul 2017 19:51:03
For some reason the vote is closed now gunner.

21 Jul 2017 20:05:10
Ha ha gunner, I've lost mine, so that's it.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 20:23:56
Lacazette was the cheapest of the 3 mate and it's anyone's guess how each one will prove the best value for money in the season ahead, we can think this that or the other but only time will tell.
Chances are a 10 million bargain buy will outshine all 3 and we will all be saying we should have signed him instead of Ok Lacazette :-)

I'll put money on it you've both got Ophone 7's πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

{Ed033's Note - Ophone 7's, is that a.k.a. fat finger syndrome?

21 Jul 2017 23:23:39
Derby I will be pleased with lacazette if he outguns those other two.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:41:21
If the rumour is true and Sanchez has supposedly agreed personal terms with PSG and a bid of 45 million has been offered I would say Arsenal should take the money and run with it. He's out of the Premiership and we can concentrate on the next signing.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

21 Jul 2017 16:48:48
But Wenger told me on my mobile the other day, we are not selling him, he's too valuable to next season's title challenge. Are you saying he's telling porkies.

21 Jul 2017 16:52:20
What a load of rubbish.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 17:54:25
Yeah I was chatting with Wenger this morning on the team coach and he said "No way Jose" and then choked on the sweet and sour chicken balls he was eating.

Then Al Lacca told me he'd had a late night phone conversation with Alexis and they talked about how they were going to play together in the new season. Mainly snap on the bus to away games.

Any how I'll be back later to update on an hilarious story about Monreal and some chop sticks! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

{Ed033's Note - baby, would I lie to you (Oh, yeah).

21 Jul 2017 12:11:06
Psg apparently bid 45mil for Sanchez which isn't enough we need at least 60mil or a player included in the deal 45mil and matuidi would be ok.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

21 Jul 2017 14:49:12
Get real mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 14:54:31
60m for a player in his last year and will soon be 29 years? Get real mate.
The club should have tried to renew when he had about 2 years left. Going to be difficult to get a huge fees and can get worse if he hands in a transfer.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 15:38:42
we tried to get him on a lower wage deal last year should of gone big offered him the 300k and got lacazette over perez.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:29:20
I agree rover and that's why I say don't sell! I believe 45million is a generous offer for him in his last year but he's more important to us and having him could generate that amount . But in my opinion what imired said is spot on! He never said that's what he's worth in the situation but that's what he would take minimum and he's right! Arsenal are in a stronger possition than we think and only are weak if we act weak.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:50:33
You don't sell your best player. Unless you are weak.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 17:15:51
Dont agree with your statement "unless you are weak" So if we get offered Β£65 mill for arguments sake you would reject it only for sanchez to sign a pre-contract with Man city in January? NO player is bigger than the club.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 17:42:24
Like Fergie and Ranaldo Steve? Let's hope Fergies feebleness rubs off on us :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 18:35:36
The best teams keep their best players, the not so good sell theirs. If we want to be the best and I do, you don't sell your best player.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 18:51:38
Utd did ok after selling Ranaldo Steve and Spurs are the best they've been for years since parting company with Bale and Modric mate.
Liverpool struggled after losing Suarez yet Southampton went from strength to strength after losing Lalama Lambert and co all in one summer.
It's not about who you sell its about what you do with the money you get for them.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 19:33:44
Yes but gunner our record is not quite the same. Plus like Utd and spurs of we get squillions of pounds for the sale, we too might be able to invest it wisely but not the money we will be getting in terms of what we are losing. We never recovered selling vierra or van Persie when we needed them and didn't do us many favours.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 19:48:01
Just a note gunner the season after man u sold Ronaldo they relinquished their league title from the season before with Ronaldo to chelski. Spurs had a nightmare season after they sold bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 20:13:39
62 mate, I'm with you mate, especially after Southampton lost Lallana and he is irreplaceable 😜 .
But on a serious note, if he doesn't want to be here than go. Its a massive loss but if we replace him with the right player we should be fine.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 20:39:53
Β£50 million buys you 10 Kante's or 100 Mahrez's pre Leicester, Moe mate :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 21:21:41
Or five Perez's we could buy him five times from us gunner. We want 10 mil for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 21:55:13
Absolutely Steve which just goes to show it's not how much you've got but how well you spend it
Or if you prefer
It's not what happens to you it's how you respond to it that decides how well things turn out at the end of the day.

Good banter fodder following on from Sharpie below.

Before the start of last season i asked on here what people thought the season would hold for theo and the Ox BEFORE it starts, whether they should be sold and before they have hindsight. I said something like 25 goals between them and would play well given enough game time. Many wanted them gone.

How about something similar now. Pick a player and pin your thoughts to the mast. Ill start with the Ox again.

Strong, direct, can go round defenders and hold them off, composed, works tirelessly and showed a really improved defensive awareness last season plus versatility which shows he's got a great understanding of the game. Just 23 i think. This season I think he'll get some assists but nothing special numberwise, but i really think he'll kick on given the chance and be the standout player for us behind whoever is scoring a lot - after he's had a couple of starts to warm up.

As such, for me he is a key part of the future of the club. The problem is that he needs game time to improve and iron out the occasional mistake. He wants to be central and aw has said that too. Ozil is better in his role than ox or rambo (who would both thrive there i think and I'd even say if ozil demanded crazy money, i'd let him ho and gamble on those two) so for now With 3 at the back ox can only play alongside xhaka. Obv can cover for bellerin too/ even a bit of competition for him. With 4 at the back he can play rw or alongside xhaka. For me, either aw has to make ramsey and ox fight it out for that central role perhaps starting one in the league and one the cups/ EL and base on performance or give the ox a new contract but let him go on loan overseas. That said, for him its probably best to leave, but if he does, we will definitely regret it.

And please. No thumbs up. It's so last season.

Believable0 Unbelievable7

21 Jul 2017 16:08:52
How people can put so much faith in xhaka is beyond me, he may step up but hasn't yet at all and the ox whether inside or out and for me at the moment wide. He has to play and again ever since he came here he's not managed that.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:30:56
Steve your so miserable . I never hear anything positive ever. It's all doom and gloom. I'd hate to have to be around you on a daily basis I bet it's torture.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 16:57:35
But I'm right sano, sorry for pointing the obvious. There has to be reasons why we fell down this year and others. Valid points, not made up. Maybe if we manage to actually put a challenge in there might be more positives. When you look positive in what you achieve then you are on the right track. I can't see what is negative in stating the obvious. Xhaka was a disappointment and ox is better out wide at the moment. Xhaka has to improve and the ox has to play more, simples.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jul 2017 17:00:24

There are lots of Facts that are positive so why do you only ever choose negative facts. Admit it your a Debbie downer mate. Every day every post and along comes steve with his miserable fact or negative comment and then think your justified because there's some truth in it. Why can't you be more even handed Steve. Bit of info for you all direct from Wenger.
This morning we were having a chat it went like this.
" So Arsene what are you doing about Alexis mate? . "
Arsene. "I am sick and tired with hearing his name. Alexis this, Alexis that. I have asked him to stay but f he carrys on I will tell him to bring all the kit back including the boots and he can do what he wants. "
Me . " Even the training kit Arsene? . "
Arsene. " Yes, the whole bloody lot. That's it from now on I'm putting my foot down. "
There you go straight from the horses mouth. So Sanchez had better mind how he goes as Arsene has the real hump with him.
Game tomorrow against Chelsea I understand it's on TV on ITV I think.
I'm on my way back home Sunday.
By the way I had to laugh when Steve Bould told me he had an hernia in his neck. I said " that's balls surely Steve? "
He said " No mate it's in my neck honestly . "
Speak soon.

Looking like Ozil will sign a new contract which personally I think is great, now need to decide on Alexis and either get him to sign up or get as much money for him as we can and get Lemar in :-)

Ozil plays best when in front of Santi and think Lemar will be able to provide the same quality to Ozil and get the best from him.

Look forward to seeing the boys at the Emirates Cup.

Cannot understand why players who say they are ambitious or who think they are really world class would join clubs like Bayern, Juventus or PSG. Sure they have a fair chance of going far in the UCL but they really only have to turn up to win their leagues. (I know PSG didn't do so last time out I but can't see Monaco repeating last year after all the vultures have finished picking their squad clean) .
So these ambitious players really just want easy trophies. What do trophies like that prove? A career with 5 or 6 league titles at Bayern? Or one title with Leicester? Most people will say the former is better but history will say the Leicester team were the real stars.
This is really a note for one Alexis Sanchez.
