Annoying game - 3 sloppy goals and we created too many chances for City through useless corners, sloppy goal kicks and terrible distribution from different players. Despite that and all the chances that City somehow wasted - yet we find ourselves right in it at 2 -1 only to stand still like school kids to give away the third. I was taught to play to the whistle st the age of 10 and to not play stupid passes near or across your own box.
City were sloppy in front of goal and could have been a great point but we looked poor again - waste of Sunday afternoon

Sy i have run successfull teams at youth level and we teach basic techniques, in defending and control. Some of the things that are allowed to go on under wenger which are never rectified are school boy stuff, i am embarrassed that i am watching professionals playing for us making rediculous errors that are cringe worthy embarrasing and allowed to go on week in week out. And these people are paid millions to do it.

It is annoying Steve. I was a fan of Wenger last season but thought a change would be welcome. Now I believe a change is necessary. Then again it still worries me that the board are as clueless. Yesterday was more embarrassing than that score suggested. I was so annoyed and seeing Alexis walk around moaning at everyone despite his own performance being crap and ozil sulking really took it too far. I said In the summer and il say again. I would’ve rather had a rebuilding team than this troubled unhappy old we have now.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Nov 2017 09:59:20
Unfortunately 16 the rebuilding you talk of has to be done by a different manager to have a different outcome and that simply isn't on the agenda right now and looks unlikely to be this summer either.
Ultimately bums on seats will provide the reason for change.

Gunner its very easy for the likes of us to say keep away from the ground. For me that would be a way but also a way would be to boycott buying food and drink at the ground and don't buy merchandise. That would hurt just as much, especially if it was advertised to the club as to why people were doing it.

Ed007,
Just donated £20 to your crowdfund appeal. Hope this helps and hope everybody can make a donation, no matter how big or small.

Great charity appeal mate, especially as we are fast approaching Christmas.

Hope you reach your target and help those less fortunate than ourselves.

Keep up the good work Bond.

{Ed007's Note - Thank you very much mate, that's really appreciated. I started off at a £250 and was initially only going to run it for the Celtic page, I knew the lads on there would pony up but when I asked Ed001 and Ed003 for permission to do it Ed001 said we should use it as our annual Christmas charity collection which was fantastic.
I'm not very good at being forward in asking people for money (remember ALL our sites raised over £900 for my wife and sisters doing a memory walk for dementia just after their mum died?) so I find it awkward to put it on sites I don't interact with much but I know we're friendly and you'd help if you could.
We actually smashed £500 in 4 days and I ended up with a story in the local press which I was not bloddy happy about.}

05 Nov 2017 22:27:56
Don't be backward in coming forward Ed.
Yes, I remember your wife and Sister's Dementia walk. Another great cause.

As they say, "If you don't ask, you don't get" and when it comes to charity, people are always willing to put their hand in their pocket.

Keep up the good work mate. Every pound makes a difference.

{Ed007's Note - It was just at Mass when the Priest mentioned collecting new or nearly new toys for the foodbank to distribute. I knew I could do something but collecting toys wasn't an option so what was the next best thing. Me and the Mrs don't have any kids so things like that always gets me thinking and I suppose hurting.}

05 Nov 2017 22:40:30
I have 3 kids (all grown up now) and a gorgeous 3 year old Granddaughter.

Every year, around this time, mrs Dags and I go through all the toys they have, but don't play with, and take them to our local Hospital.

They are all in good condition, so the kids at the hospital enjoy them.

It brings a smile to their faces and we get to de-clutter our kids bedrooms 😁😁.

{Ed007's Note - Good stuff, DG, a true gentleman and God bless you and your Mrs.}

Its not the position in the table that worries me. Its the team selection week in week out. Ozil should be nowhere near the starting 11, leaving out our record signing to play iwobi so that ozil can have a free role is absolutely ridiculous. Nothing will change until wenger leaves, he shows way to much loyalty to players instead of rating players on performance and effort alone.

Should of been ozil dropped today not lacazette.

I think our position in the table flatters us.

05 Nov 2017 19:49:28
Winning the title was never a serious option and top 4 was always going to be very very difficult but not impossible, I don't see how today changes anything at all.
Lose to Spurs and that will make 4th a lot lot tougher still but as we stand all is pretty much as it was at lunchtime.
I definitely think we need to keep the league cup and Europa league going as long as we can because if top 4 doesn't happen we are going to need all the straws we can get our hands on come May.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Nov 2017 20:20:16
Todays result reinforces the fact we are not top four and we are not in any title race again. No it didn't change a thing, just reinforce the view wenger can't hack it with the younger tactical aware managers. We are hanging our hat on the Europa league and that is a long shot too, once we start playing the top sides and the champs league droppers. With the Ozil and sanchez situations as well, we are in disarray. What a right tactical clanger wenger dropped today. It wouldn't have made an awful lot of difference but in a big game to play a player not used to playing center back and leave out your top scorer to play someone who can't score (iwobi) is rediculous. There was nothing solid about this team tpday at all and it showed. Innept manager.

In away league matches against the rest of the 'big six' since the start of the 2014-15 season, We have won only once (a 2-0 win at City in January 2015) , losing 10 and drawing seven.

Wenger also had the cojones to say referees get worse every year, maybe you should have a look at yourself fella.

We are going nowhere fast and a player like Lemar will give us a huge side step.

Will it get much better when Wenger goes, with Kroenke at the helm, no chance.

Nothing Wenger does, in fact, nothing Arsenal do, surprises me anymore.

We were never going to get a result today, and our team selection and performance matched the result.

We all know how poor we can be Dags but we have bounced back before this season after a poor performance.
Let's not get carried away by what as you say we all secretly half expected to happen before the game kicked off.
Beat Spurs and it's all as it was before the season started with 4th place a long shot but lose to Spurs and we really are going to need the cups more than ever before and even then the fa cup alone won't work as it has in previous years.
The europa league plus fa or league cup would take the sting out of a 5th place finish should it come to it.

I'm going to live my stomach for tonight's heavy session with a bowl of frosties and a mr Kipling cake as I'm having an exceedingly good day as spurs win again and after watching arsenal lose again I feel GRREEAAATT.

I'll try and pop in the next time you lads are losing a match - so I guess 3-4 years from now? haha

Seriously though, will try and join next weekend. Haven't been to any other chat besides the Arsenal one but how could I possibly decline an invite to the best live chat? Will Jinger Jimmy be there?

05 Nov 2017 17:31:58
Today once again we have seen how far we behind . Thursdays game was the best cure for insomnia I've seen and today was once again how much Arsene is behind in every department as a manager.3 fa cup wins doesn't hide the fact that big money as been spent and we are further behind competing for the big 2 trophies then when we were the tightwads of the footballing world.
I think personally unless there is a dramatic turnaround of the boards thinking by the time Arsene contract is up we will be in a
sorry position. The only thing that i am hoping that Arsene himself that he can't hack and calls it a day at the end of the season. The board are not going to hold him accountable so let's hope he does.

What a sloppy disjointed and innept perfomance. Basically gifted three goals and should have let in more. What a tactical disaster from le prof again. We had two fit center backs a right and left back why not start 442. But in the end our dloppyness in big games in unforgivable. What on earth did owobi and ozil do? And xhaka, what a mess.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Nov 2017 16:39:05
It's beyond belief steve! Even starting with laca on the bench given he wants to play for us and Is a better option with him up top and sanchez out wide . You are in situation where you don't know if your best (supposedly ) are staying or going then he plays Sanchez and drops lacazette in the striker possition . I hate to say it and we can all be arm chair managers but it's sad to see. It reminds me of watching the theory of everything .

Ed001,
Did you really have to mention our 'Missing cajones'? 😁.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - sorry mate. I knew you were missing them though....}

05 Nov 2017 10:08:59
Difficult to argue with the write up. Key players for me are Kola ( hope he is fit or we are in trouble ) , Granit (hope he doesn’t take a nap every time he takes a pass from someone) and Lacazette ( needs to take his chance (S) when it arrives ) .

We have a few weaknesses - central midfield and LWB but if we have the right attitude and discipline then that will bridge the gap. If we do that then game on as both teams have fire power and there will be fireworks. Let’s be the team that lights the fuse and not the guy on the bonfire

Based on history and form - 4-2 unless we can suddenly pull our 💩 together and perform away from home.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Nov 2017 10:35:50
Lol Ed, I totally agree.

Let's hope we get off on the front foot and put their dodgy defence under pressure.

I still think 2-2.

{Ed001's Note - true, Wenger did get it badly wrong though, why on earth was Iwobi starting over Lacazette?}
