Hi everyone. Reading online it seems that Jerome Boateng is a free agent this summer. It seems that spuds are interested but don't know if we might throw our hats in?
Think he's a good CB who could be useful as cover at RB.
Eds if you have any info on that itd be great to hear it! Thanks for all your hard work and stuff you do behind the scenes tgat keeps this ticking over.

There's rumors floating around that Jose wants Xhaka. Do you think Arsenal would let him go? It's all well and good people wanting him, but if the club don't want to sell.
There's also stuff about Saliba going. What is it about him that the club don't like - after spending 27 million, shipping him out on loan and that loan giving him a platform to showcase his obvious talent?

Would be madness to sell Xhaka. He's been our best misfielder this season and selling him in the hopes that a newly bought midfielder would be better than him is too risky.
Regarding Saliba I feel he just doesn't want to be back at Arsenal with his comments regarding Guenduzi etc. Let's see how it develops. Maybe if he's back and given a chance and playing regularly, he might change his mind. Also Arteta clearly said he's our player and he will be back this season which is a positive in this regard.

Hope he goes, it's one thing being our best Midfielder, but that still doesn't make him good enough for where we need to be. I'm happy to recoup some money for him and try something else.
He's a good player and he will probably excell in a different team or league, but it's never really worked out for him here.
I'm sick to death of having half arsed clear outs every year, this needs to be cut throat and ruthless.

Fair enough, but we don't really want to be bedding in seven or eight first-choice players in one go. By all means, clear out those that offer little, or fill up the squad with little in the way of prospect or promise, but Xhaka is a useful player who can step in when necessary and is versatile. There are many more heading up the queue before you get to Xhaka.
Do bear in mind as well, that our lack of European football makes us somewhat less attractive, so if you are thinking of recruiting 5-8 world-class players with only a promise of success in the near future, think again.
The job Mikel has is a long-term one, much bigger one or even two transfer windows will fix.

Romano on Bissouma:
Yves Bissouma is appreciated and he's 'one of the options' in the Arsenal list as midfielder but NOT the first one. #AFC are also looking at different kind of players in this position.
Many clubs are interested, including Liverpool.
Who on earth could we be looking at as a 'first option' if it isn't Bissouma? Madness.

What gets said in the press and what is the case aren't always the same thing. Remember what Ed said: he is of interest, but we need to offload first.

Yeah I know Alex mate but these aren't the usual media reports from the sun. Ed002, Ornstein, Romano and sometimes Watts are close to the mark 99% of the time.
Kocku is nothing more than a cheaper option. Bissouma is a better player and comfortably plays in the Premier league already. Fingers crossed, you never know.

We should be putting all eggs in the Bissouma basket if you ask me. He’s come on leaps n bounds n like Glenn says Prem Proven which is massive for us as we need results and performances, hit the ground running!
Let’s hope Nico P is pulling the strings, they looked like best buds the other day didn’t they? So hopefully he’s in his ear to come play footy with his boi and make Arsenal a force once again.

Interesting news from the journalist ramano who is usually spot on. Said xhaka has offers to leave as does bellerin. Also willian will 100% be leaving. Going to be a busy summer.

Massive summer D16 which could see us revolutionise the squad entirely. It's great but only works if we buy sensibly. Soumare for example - moving to Leicester for what 21m? We need 4 or 5 sharp signings like that imo.

Glenn, d’ya know what. I was thinking the same mate Soumare for £21m is an absolute steal. Leicester are about to work miracles once again by the looks of it.
They really do remind me of Arsenal of old, the way the clubs run, the way they conduct themselves and there scouting network is unreal.

I wish Granit to stay I think he’s a good enough player and could improve slightly he’s just too cautious. He may be humble enough to play some supporting role loves the club and have experience.
People on here were wishing Holding be sold in the summer and I warned we may need him from January onwards, which proves to be the case. Although we have less games to play next season I think we need an experience or more solid defender.
Pepe will continue to improve as his psychology change, maybe it’s having a child and wanting to create a legacy plus it appears he’s getting extra in training.
My reservation is in the striker position because PEA has been found out. Keep him to his left and not let him get the ball on his right and he will fizzle out especially losing pace as he aged.

A few weeks ago I asked that who’s the centre midfielder arsenal want as I know we are interested in Bissouma and Berge but there was one more player you said. Are you able to say who that player is please?

Leeds know that Feyenoord could be forced in to a corner financially opening the door to a sale at the right price. Sevilla have a sustained interest and will look to sell one of several significant assests to help fund their summer plans. Spurs have enquired before. Milan see him as a cheap option.}

Weren't we interested in Kokcu last summer when he only had a year left on his contract, but he since signed a contract extension? Any idea on how much Feyenoord would be demanding for him? thanks.
