David Ornstein saying we have had a bid of 15 rejected, but can see us coming back with an improved offer and personal term shouldn’t be a problem any truth in this ed, he’s not a bad source isn’t he.

{Ed047's Note - There’s no previous post linked to this to know who you’re talking about Welshgunner.

1.) 22 Jun 2019 16:47:04
He's talking about Tierney Ed047. Orstein has posted on the BBC saying that our 15m offer was rejected and that we're optimistic that a deal can be done.

2.) 22 Jun 2019 17:55:40
Sorry ed mate didn’t realise I didn’t put a name, the sun and 8 pints I blame.

{Ed047's Note - Sounds like a great Saturday afternoon Welsh! Ornstein is normally fairly reliable mate but we hear so many times how Arsenal are reluctant to offer the going rate.

I always wait until they’re wearing the shirt, can’t go wrong then.

3.) 22 Jun 2019 18:50:26
Couldn't agree more Ed. Arsenal being set to make an improved offer probably means 17m 😂.

4.) 22 Jun 2019 20:13:50
Or 14 million Glenn lol.

5.) 22 Jun 2019 23:11:22
15m and 1 penny I hear.

6.) 22 Jun 2019 23:45:35
The fact Ormstein is reporting it at least means we are genuinely in talks about signing the player which is a huge step up from most of the nonsense stories.

17 Jun 2019 08:05:07
Apparently Carrasco deal is off.

1.) 17 Jun 2019 12:52:00
Was it ever on or was it all agent noise and media speculation.

10 Jun 2019 19:51:22
Hi ed, I can’t remember if you said in the list of players you put up, was the Celtic lb in that list, thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - you could have just searched!

{Ed002's Note - Schalke are certainly keen to re-sign Kolasinac. It remains something like this:

GK, LB, CB, CM, RW wanted

Odisseas Vlachodimos (G)
Nick Pope (G) off the list
Markus Schubert (G) Dynamo Dresden kid

Thomas Meunier (RB) an option with Lichtsteiner and Jenkinson leaving

Nicolas Tagliafico (LB) if Kolasinac leaves - as LB may be the lowest priority - interest from elsewhere and his club don't want to sell - player wants a move to Inter - won't happen
Junior Firpo (LB) – looks to be heading elsewhere and very expensive - won't happen
Alex Grimaldo (LWB) price may be beyond Arsenal and interest from CL sides
David Alaba (LB) issue would be not being in the CL and interest from elsewhere - but possible

Michael Keane (CB) Arsenal took the opportunity to watch him at West Ham and it was reported back that the scouts were both impressed by MK and particularly Kurt Zouma
Jean-Philippe Gbamin (CB) Mainz have said they will sell at the right price and have said that Arsenal have returned to watch him with a new scout (the last having been sacked) and that Lille and Manchester City have also looked at him - but the player may want Champions League if he moves from Mainz
Ibrahima Konate (CB) the player does not want to move to Arsenal
Samuel Umtiti (CB) Barcelona are keen to move him on and UE is keen to take him if the right deal can be figured out - Arsenal want a loan to buy - but could easily be priced out of a move, particularly given injury concerns. Could be a very expensive mistake.
Kostas Manolas (CB) available to Italian sides at €36M but Roma are looking for €50M from English or Spanish sides.
Boubacar Kamara (CB) - very unlikely as talks progress with another side and Marseille would like to keep him - interest raised by a well respected scout who was then sacked by Minislat - the lady from Marseille says that she does not see Arsenal as an option
Djene (CB/RB) has been watched by Arsenal and Leicester (pre Brendan Rodgers) but money may be an issue for Arsenal as he would cost €35M in hard cash - no structured payments - Lille turned down the chance to sign him as they did not see him as good enough for them
Matthias Ginter (CB) I am not aware of interest from Liverpool - enquiries from two EPL sides (including Arsenal) came to nothing. If he did move he would want to be a started which will cut out Bayern, as will him having no interest in being used as cover for multiple positions. He would be expensive and is apparently happy. Don't hold your breath.
William Saliba (CB) no approach has been made to his club by Arsenal yet
Brandon Soppy (CB) Rennes kiddie - recommended by an ex player - perhaps 2020

James Maddison (CM/AM) is emerging as a summer target for Arsenal (due largely to preferred choices not being available) but Leicester will resist selling him this summer unless a ridiculous offer is made and a move to Arsenal is very unlikely
Adrien Rabiot (CM/AM) - Emery wants him but wages will be very high and interest from elsewhere will likely win out. Obviously Rabiot is in a position now where he can negotiate a summer deal (let's assume that to be a signing on fee, a wage/bonus package, agent and third party fees) with any club outside of the remit of the FFF. This includes Arsenal and a number of other sides. Don't hold your breath - it probably won't happen.
Kai Havertz (CM/AM) option to Rabiot but won't happen as his future is largely mapped out with a move happening in 2020. I would forget him.
Joe Aribo (CM) remains of interest - but is he ready to step up? Charlton are to offer him the best deal possible.
Nicolo Barella (CM) Napoli and Chelsea failed with approaches in January - and he wants to be a starter and stay in Italy - so very difficult. Don't hold your breath as it won't happen.
Pablo Fornals (CM/AM) still being considered but in talks with another side
Ever Banega (CM) - Emery again likes the player but the club are not so keen, but if the preferred choices are not available he may need to be considered again
Dennis Praet (CM) there has been a suggested fishing trip to look at Praet - it makes little sense to me

Christopher Nkunku (LM/AM) wanted by Emery and PSG may be open to a sale, but there is a dependency in Paris that could change that and interest from elsewhere

David Brooks (AM) Arsenal has watched him and may make an offer if Oezil were to be moved on
Julian Draxler (AM) expect player to be offered to the club

Alexis Claude-Maurice (AM) youngster from Lorient who has progressed well this season and attracted the attention of Norwich, Sion, Leeds and Lens, and probably others.

Ismaila Sarr (RW) was watched earlier in the season before Arsenal moved on a well respected scout. There was certainly no discussion about the player whilst any Europa league tie but there is interest, although the price may be prohibitive at €50M
Cengiz Under (RW) enquired after but seen as too expensive at €40M for a player who has suffered injury, form and attitude problems this season - but may be possible
David Neres (RW/LW) has been watched but no approach has been made to Ajax yet - but he is available
Nicolas Pepe (RW) is way out of Arsenal's financial reach
Suso (RW) watched again but expensive - although is home grown
Cristian Pavon (RW/F) Arsenal may turn to an old Wenger target - there is interest from Ajax, Barcelona and from another English side who have been told that when he moves it will be to Barcelona - but their focus is on another player right now - very unlikely but I suspect Barcelona will step away
Zaha (RW) Emery says he likes the player but Crystal Palace will look for £60M plus which will take a serious chunk of the available funds away - but perfectly possible as the big buy of the summer if Champions League is not an issue and if Arsenal can raise funds
Hakim Ziyech (RW/AM) concerns over one particular issue (which has already made a couple of clubs step back) will probably end the interest of Arsenal - but don't strike him off the list just yet
Allan Saint-Maximin (RW) has been watched and is available
Samuel Chukwueze (RW) a Villareal youngster in Spain under the Cotonou Agreement that drew attention of Arsenal again recently when they were scouting another player (Pablo Fornals). As a 16 year old he had trials at Arsenal after the Under 17 World Cup but it came to nothing. Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich have a declared interest in the player, as does Leicester City but they realised there would be a need to overpay on transfer fee or wages to ensure a Work Permit could be obtained so asked for a price - and stepped back at the €60M quoted.

Ivan Perisic (LW) too old and pricey - won't happen
Benito Raman (LW) watched but concern over the step up - Everton, Burnley and WHU have also looked at him
Leandro Trossard (LW) was certainly watched at the start of the season by an Arsenal scout who has since left the club. He is young but I know that Wolfsburg and Borussia Monchengladbach have also watched him and spoken with Genk. I am not aware of any deal being made and that seems a decent sum of money to pay for a LW when a RW is the real priority.
Ryan Fraser (LW) has the advantage of being home grown

Wesley Moraes (F) a Welbeck replacement concerned about game time
Gabriel Martinelli (F) He is a child - he is not for the first team but could happen.

I can't help with the youngsters at Arsenal at all.}

1.) 10 Jun 2019 21:54:22
I swear that list gets longer and longer 😂 great infi Ed, Thanks for the update!

2.) 11 Jun 2019 13:51:15
Sorry ed.

{Ed001's Note - no worries but I don't have that kind of time usually to search for myself.}

3.) 11 Jun 2019 16:27:21
Cheers ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome.}

06 Jun 2019 20:00:34
Hi ed any truth in the talk of chalov? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of anything related to Arsenal but Fedor Chalov (F) remains of some interest to Monaco but Sevilla opted for Dabbur.}

1.) 06 Jun 2019 21:32:33
Ok thank you.

05 Jun 2019 14:46:42
Pea miki mustafi and xhaka have all taken that they play for arsenal off there bio on there social media accounts make of it what you will I know it Doesn’t mean anything but it’s unusual.

2.) 05 Jun 2019 19:57:20

3.) 06 Jun 2019 09:10:05
Perhaps they are just embarrassed by the Europa league final and pretending to be hairdressers postman roadworkers or EVEN bankers just not Arsenal players :-)

Don’t know if this is true ed but were arsenal offered zaha last summer?

{Ed002's Note - Try searching.}

24 Jun 2019 09:08:08
Some reports saying Torreira has asked to leave the club!

1.) 24 Jun 2019 10:18:35
If true that he's wanting to move to Milan then there's at least a few possibilities for players we could ask for in return.

Suso and Kessie would be decent enough additions, although I'd be unhappy if we didn't also get some cash in on top of either. We could be super cheeky and see if Romagnoli could be tempted.

Kessie would at least give our midfield some bite, however he'd further highlight the need for a better player alongside him to control the game (sorry Granit) . heard there's some guy at Villarreal who's advancing in age but still top draw.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 14:09:38
Does anybody actually believe this tripe?

3.) 24 Jun 2019 14:36:38
If true and he does want to leave I would sell yes but not on the cheap let's demand 40Million min for him worth that all day long in this market and we need the funds for defenders. Non of this loan fee with option to buy later nonsense we need the extra funds now.

Don't get me wrong Torreria has had decent enough first season but not quite the DM sheild we were expecting really. And also no point keeping unhappy players in my view. I think AMN and Guendouzi can fill his role well enough. Tierney will be a great buy at LB but we need to move quick cause other teams will soon be circuling.

4.) 24 Jun 2019 15:23:38
I can only guess people are so desperate for news Wire that they would rather accept fairytales than simply wait for reality to happen.
Imagine if each tabloid story cost £2 to read? I think people would be much more selective on who they got there news from if that was the case :-)

5.) 24 Jun 2019 20:33:05
Torreira came in and looked the real deal but getting used to a new league without a reliable partner soon began to tell the longer the season went on. Next season Guendouzi will be a year more experienced and Maitland Miles will add another option in midfield hopefully but we definitely could do with upgrading on Xhaka who simply just cut it on anything like a regular basis in the premier league after 3 seasons of playing well over 100 games.

24 Jun 2019 08:51:27
How we have fallen, being linked with players, that the likes of Everton West Ham and Brighton are signing, come kronke get that dusty book out.

1.) 24 Jun 2019 09:20:31
Kante for 5 million before Leicester got him or Pogba for 100 million before United got him mate?
Surely it's what they do in your shirt that matters not what they cost or where they come from.
Let's give any new players that arrive a chance because I'd never heard of Torria Guendouzi or Papa this time last season but I'd heard of Suarez before he arrived.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 21:32:05
Wise words G.

3.) 24 Jun 2019 21:55:03
Cheers Rick mate, I think building a team is all about finding the right players to fit in with what you are trying to achieve and in which way you want to achieve it.
Salah and KDB didn't fit at Chelsea but have both done rather well for themselves since moving into a set up more suited to their attributes.

20 Jun 2019 17:46:17
Out of all the linked players the one that gets me excited is Kieran Tierney he could be outstanding for us.

17 Jun 2019 12:18:15
Hi ed, I’ve seen we are linked with a lot of youngsters, I don’t understand why because we need players for now, if it’s not to much trouble could you please tell us what youngsters you think would be a for the first team that we are linked with thanks ed.

{Ed002's Note - Sadly I don't know WG.}

1.) 17 Jun 2019 22:37:47
Ok thanks ed.

2.) 18 Jun 2019 10:55:50
To be honest welsh I feel like taking the prospect route is the right path to take mate.

3.) 18 Jun 2019 11:32:50
I’ve just commented on Malaga’s post and said if the youngsters are good enough play them 28 million for a young defender is a lot so play him I think.

4.) 18 Jun 2019 13:12:41
No one minds us giving young players the chance rather than simply buying what older players than we can afford for the sake of it but it must not be used as an excuse for Emery to cling to power by! We can't go back to those times again so shortly after we finally got the change that many wanted for so long surely?
