See we are being linked with Lingard the last player I want to see at our club.

Wilfred

1.) 05 Apr 2020 15:16:39
I would be horrified he's absolutely shocking, if anyone is seriously considering it, they should be sacked! What's the point of selling iwobi and buying someone even worse! 😂.

29 Nov 2019 10:13:22
He's been sacked.

Wilfred

1.) 29 Nov 2019 14:35:07
Hope springs eternal.

This Josh Kroenke Twitter letter has told arsenal fans to get excited about transfers at the end of the window. I'll hold my breath on that one.

Wilfred

1.) 16 Jul 2019 23:35:52
Too late, LR Cristal on ice ready for popping 🍾.

2.) 17 Jul 2019 08:44:58
ah rich boy tells you some made up fantasies and the peasants are in a feeding frenzy for the BS. I'm not buying it, nothing has convinced me we are improving, we are adding but we are not improving, our squad is nowhere near title calibre, and its not even potential calibre.

I would rather sign one really good player than 3 average players and then have to sell them 3 years later. we are going round in circles.

3.) 17 Jul 2019 10:38:28
It gets better Emery saying in sky we are going for very big and expensive signings at least 4 players.

4.) 17 Jul 2019 11:26:38
I want to believe it. and it's not about money. its about the right players. hunger, drive, ability. Not social media divas.

I guess we have to see how this season pans out.

I'm more upset about the players we have who have no hunger, desire or drive and anyone we add will get influenced by their lacklustre beliefs.

5.) 20 Jul 2019 06:41:39
I still believe that the ‘big 4 signings for lots of money’ will end up being, Everton, Tierney, Ceballos and Dani Alves. This is only my opinion lol but out of those 4, actual transfer fee-wise, I can only see two that would cost us an actual fee, 1 who would demand a large signing on fee and 1 who we may have to pay an amount to Madrid.
I’m ok with that, but really wish the club wouldn’t use the words like ‘very big, very expensive’ when the most expensive would be Zaha. Btw, I’m still thinking £55m plus Jenkinson and Elneny would get ya Zaha.
I get 55m is expensive, but in this market, it’s not exactly Neymar/ Hazard/ Felix big and expensive.

03 Jul 2019 11:24:22
Seeing rumours we have offered 50m for Maguire gets better by the day lol.

Wilfred

1.) 03 Jul 2019 12:42:09
I hear they’ll be offering PSG a swap deal for Neymar including Mustafi and £5.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 16:01:44
The only players we offer £50m for, are the ones whose club values them at . 50% higher. They like to give the impression they are making an effort. It insults our intelligence, yet they persist.

3.) 04 Jul 2019 00:09:50
Didn't this come from the sun 😂.

01 Jul 2019 19:44:36
So we have bid £40m for zaha I think we maybe a pound short this time lol.

Wilfred

1.) 01 Jul 2019 20:40:14
I think it's actually you we bid on Wilfred mate :-) .

We desperately need a creative player oh hang on there's one sitting at home watching it on the telly being paid £350k a week.

Wilfred

1.) 22 Oct 2020 19:52:14
Wow I'm flatted mate, give me a decent pair of boots and 7 years to get match fit and I will do you proud Wilfred mate.

2.) 22 Oct 2020 20:13:41
Boring.

3.) 22 Oct 2020 20:26:49
It is boring without creativity - you are so right.

Pretty poor when your creativity comes from Elneny.

4.) 22 Oct 2020 20:28:00
OK Mark make it 5 years and any old boots:-)

5.) 22 Oct 2020 20:35:15
Every time we lack creativity are we going to now say Ozil?

6.) 22 Oct 2020 20:37:15
Great shout by the boss - don't have Ozil on the bench but have 2 yes 2 keepers on the bench. Go figure! Idiot

Keep making dumb ass calls like that and there will be a plane soon

Still pxssing about at the back - please learn boss.

7.) 22 Oct 2020 21:22:25
Only if Simon says DG.

8.) 22 Oct 2020 22:37:29
Messing around at the back SY! ArtEmery?

9.) 23 Oct 2020 01:54:18
Well yeah, when we lack creativity, people are going to say whys our most creative player not available, we don't know the full story, so it might be right or wrong, but when he offers something clearly missing it seems stupid.

10.) 23 Oct 2020 10:31:50
Well yeah when he’s the only creative player we have give him a chance. Willian has done nothing since the Fulham game. who’s making the decisions at the club we keep Leno who is a shot stopper that’s it can’t come for crosses fafs around at the back all the time. always parry’s shots back into the middle of the goal. and get rid of Martinez who was superb.

11.) 23 Oct 2020 10:31:50

12.) 23 Oct 2020 12:25:03
I don't suppose Martinez is complaining, he's riding high with Vila and enjoyig being part of the only club to still have a 100% win record in the premier league so far this season.
Beats being paid to sit and watch Arsenal games from the bench each week I'm sure.
The only thing worse than being totally excluded like Mesut is surely being forced to sit and watch us play from the sidelines.

21 Oct 2020 13:05:43
Ozil has accused arsenal of a lack of loyalty. how can he play every game under arteta then after the restart not a single minute. we not exactly blessed with creative players as it is.

Wilfred

1.) 21 Oct 2020 16:15:47
Ed002 do you have any insight into what's gone wrong here?

{Ed002's Note - Edu.}

2.) 21 Oct 2020 16:44:29
Class of personalities do you think Ed?

{Ed002's Note - No, it is another issue.}

3.) 21 Oct 2020 17:24:35
Could you let us know what issue Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Edu is the the issue. This was another DF thing to do.}

4.) 21 Oct 2020 19:16:46
Hi Ed lots of us interested in the Ozil situation . Could you please indicate whether it is
A) Arteta doesn’t want him in squad
B) not in squad due to Chinese comments
C) not in squad due to not taking pay cut
D) Edu has fallen out with Ozil
E) something else
Thanks in advance
COYG.

{Ed002's Note - (E).}

5.) 21 Oct 2020 19:52:26
May I ask what that E ) maybe exactly? COYG.

{Ed002's Note - There is no point opening it up. It will simply lead to more abuse.}

6.) 21 Oct 2020 22:05:29
No worries - I won`t tell anyone ;) ps is DF dumb feck? COYG.

08 Oct 2020 13:18:13
Sokratis Saliba and Ozil left out of the Europa league squad.
So we are basically paying £350k a week for ozil to do nothing. and we've paid £27m for saliba to do the same. crazy.

Wilfred

1.) 08 Oct 2020 16:11:29
That is crazy. Can't work out why they left saliba out. Also one of the gks went out on loan today just after we registered him in this.

{Ed047's Note - Saliba makes no sense at all! 🤦‍♂️

2.) 08 Oct 2020 17:02:17
Maybe we pissed him off more than we thought when refusing him back for St Etienne game ( both sides maybe at fault) . He`s 19 doesn`t speak the language well and demotivated? However not sure if he can`t speak the language how a loan to championship going to help . A pre Arteta buy too! My guess is we are going 433 with the partey buy and Arteta feels others better suited at the moment COYG.

{Ed047's Note - just seems weird, he had a great game in the U’23’s a few weeks back so just assumed he was getting up to speed.

The mystery continues! 🤣

3.) 08 Oct 2020 17:43:03
Training with the first team and Europa league games would have been best option . Sure Gabriel could speak french to him and Luiz having been in Paris! Holding not so sure 😂COYG.

{Ed047's Note - my thoughts to, maybe it’s just a numbers thing with Mustafi now back training with the first team.

4.) 08 Oct 2020 18:12:58
I'm reading that he needs a year (which he wasn't able to complete at St Etienne because of injury and the lockdown break) . Sort of makes sense so he gets games and comes back when some players are offloaded next summer. hopefully he can see the merits of this and not feel rejected.

{Ed047's Note - I recall Arteta talking about integrating him slowly into the set up now you say that Sally and I’m thinking there is no way MA won’t have explained that all to him.

5.) 08 Oct 2020 18:37:32
What an odd set up, most bizarre.

6.) 08 Oct 2020 20:31:07
Maybe Saliba refused to take a pay cut as his contact would have been negotiated last summer when we first signed him? Anything is possible under the current regime.

7.) 08 Oct 2020 21:53:32
Saliba beibg left out is really odd. As much as i faulted wenger over many things, I always liked that he played the youngsters in the cups and Europa league. Arteta doesn't seem to be taking risks with young players. I don't think that approach is good. We should let young players develop and make mistakes. I am sure we can afford to let saliba make mistakes against the likes of dundalk.

8.) 08 Oct 2020 22:13:48
To be fair Punani mate I quite like the fact that Arteta takes all completions seriously and fields a strong side in every competition. City and Chelsea always try and win the league cup and did so in their title winning seasons also.
I think the idea is to create a consistent and constant winning mentality rather than asking the players to switch it on and off on command.

9.) 09 Oct 2020 01:10:15
Saliba is still highly likely to go out on loan that’s why he’s been left out of the squad it’s that simple.

10.) 09 Oct 2020 19:24:16
Think it could be he was signed before we got Gabriel and instead of blooding in both hell ease saliba in next year after Gabriel is settled in.

{Ed047's Note - I think 337 has got it spot on to be fair. We can forget all the conspiracies 😉🤣

28 Sep 2020 21:41:38
We got two cb's worth £54m and we still playing the clown.

Wilfred

1.) 28 Sep 2020 21:47:40
I was wondering if Bellerin could just go back to being injured.

2.) 28 Sep 2020 22:17:53
Won’t go that far arsenalex, wishing injury to a play is never nice.

14 Sep 2020 13:29:47
So Kroenke hasn't put a single penny into arsenal in the last 5 years.

Wilfred

1.) 14 Sep 2020 14:16:09
I thought he hasn’t put a penny in of his own money since he’s been here that’s what I read.

{Ed047's Note - I thought he’d paid off the last of the debt so in effect freed up money that would have been used to make the repayments

2.) 14 Sep 2020 15:10:58
Me too Ed047.

{Ed047's Note - glad I’m not the only one but sure I’m right in saying that mate

3.) 14 Sep 2020 15:57:20
I think you are right Ed yeah!

What frustrates me is how much he shows his affection for the Rams but completely disregards Arsenal. After the game last night he was awarded with the game ball by the players in the changing room, thanking him for what he does for the team.

All inside the brand new $5 billion stadium that he's paid for. I saw him at an FA cup final once, high up in the stands of Wembley but I don't ever recall seeing him at the Emirates. Josh on the other hand is an ever present figure at Arsenal but can't really do much tbh. He's the heir to the kronke throne so maybe in another 20 years or so we'll get noticed!

{Ed047's Note - that’s been the huge frustration Glenn, they talk of wanting to win the big trophies but their actions speak so much louder than their words.

4.) 14 Sep 2020 16:36:46
I thought an owner was only allowed to put 40mill of his own money in, otherwise we are breaking ffp rules

Kroenke has backed Wenger and Emery in the transfer market, now we are in unprecedented times, money is tight. We have trust in what he’s doing.

{Ed047's Note - this is actually what’s reported to have happened, how accurate, that I can’t be sure, but it came from the AST;

Silent Stan has decided to pay the £144m debt in full. He will do it in August. However, he'll have to also cover an additional penalty for doing it early, not in 2031.

Hence, Arsenal will have to pay £184m in August and they will do it by taking a loan from Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, the businessman's company.

Basically, this is restructuring the debt: Arsenal no longer owe to external bondholders but to the man who owns the club.

The Gunners will save up some money on that but the news does not mean Kroenke invests into Arsenal. The club will have to pay him back, with an unspecified interest rate.

However, it will free up the funds (~£36m) Arsenal have already held in order to repay to bondholders in September this year.

This money will help Arsenal weather the crisis caused by the pandemic: it will probably go to players' and staff salaries. Part of the money could be used to finance the transfer campaign but it's not guaranteed.

Overall, not much changes for the club in the long-term.

5.) 14 Sep 2020 17:17:24
Jesus. It doesn't make a pretty read does it when you look at it like that.

6.) 14 Sep 2020 21:02:48
Not sure I see a problem Glenn.

He’s restructured the debt so we pay less interest and have more money available now.

Don’t get me wrong - I don’t like the way he runs the club and the fact he doesn’t put any money in, but I don’t have an issue with the above from the AST.

7.) 14 Sep 2020 21:34:29
Xhaka Mustafi Auba Laca Pepe quater of a billion on 5 players right there and if you Start counting Mesut chambers Welbeck and quite a few others and your getting closer to half a billion.
I really don't think underfunding has been our problem at all in any way shape or form, people point the finger at Stan but the evidence doesn't stack up against him that I can see.
If it's just a case looking for a scapegoat then Stans your man but the genuine reason for why we are where we are most definitely isn't underfunding that I can see.

8.) 14 Sep 2020 21:54:01
Totally agree John, let’s give Stan some credit.

9.) 15 Sep 2020 07:30:05
Top post Gunner 👏.

10.) 15 Sep 2020 09:54:17
And all those players mentioned we signed would be sold at less than we bought. Coutinho was about £10 mill and Hazard £32 mill gave good service then sold for £150 mill. We just sold our best players in last year of contracts with low returns. Yet look at the squad now pretty sure Saka Tierney Martinelli Gabriel Leno Saliba worth more than we paid can also include Guendouzi. So a change of strategy. Just a thought as well pre this window Sky put up a Premier League most expensive players which included Pepe Maguire Lukaku Pogba Morata Fred Di Maria hardly roaring successes. Two also on the list Allisson and van Diyk ( what price him now ) ? No coincidence they`re champions . Whatever happens this season surely we have hope . Also odds of aliens landing 10 000 / 1 and the odds Spurs win a trophy? Ask the fecking aliens COYG.

11.) 15 Sep 2020 10:46:57
But why should Kroenke invest? Aren’t we following a self-sustaining model? If you think ManC and Chelsea model is the right way ahead, that’s okay, but I don’t think so! I’m satisfied with our current model where our investment depends on our success!

{Ed047's Note - I think the over riding thing that we get wrong is failing to capitalise on our assets (players) and improve ourselves when doing this.

We have a terrible knack of players leaving on frees or ending up being worth a lot less than we paid.

I appreciate getting that right isn’t necessarily easy but we just seem so bad at it.

12.) 15 Sep 2020 16:45:29
That's it in a nutshell Ed047 mate, spending isn't and hasn't been our problem, protecting our investments once they join us is and has been our downfall. That surely isn't and never has been Stans department.

{Ed047's Note - he’s put the money up for the likes of Özil, Sanchez, Lacazette, Aubameyang, Pepe, Mustafi, Xhaka, Torreira et al so we can’t say he hasn’t spent mate that’s for sure.

13.) 16 Sep 2020 18:34:42
You are right Ed047! That’s where we surely have to improve.

{Ed047's Note - 100% Sen, we literally can’t afford not too.
