This Josh Kroenke Twitter letter has told arsenal fans to get excited about transfers at the end of the window. I'll hold my breath on that one.

1.) 16 Jul 2019 23:35:52
Too late, LR Cristal on ice ready for popping 🍾.

2.) 17 Jul 2019 08:44:58
ah rich boy tells you some made up fantasies and the peasants are in a feeding frenzy for the BS. I'm not buying it, nothing has convinced me we are improving, we are adding but we are not improving, our squad is nowhere near title calibre, and its not even potential calibre.

I would rather sign one really good player than 3 average players and then have to sell them 3 years later. we are going round in circles.

3.) 17 Jul 2019 10:38:28
It gets better Emery saying in sky we are going for very big and expensive signings at least 4 players.

4.) 17 Jul 2019 11:26:38
I want to believe it. and it's not about money. its about the right players. hunger, drive, ability. Not social media divas.

I guess we have to see how this season pans out.

I'm more upset about the players we have who have no hunger, desire or drive and anyone we add will get influenced by their lacklustre beliefs.

5.) 20 Jul 2019 06:41:39
I still believe that the ‘big 4 signings for lots of money’ will end up being, Everton, Tierney, Ceballos and Dani Alves. This is only my opinion lol but out of those 4, actual transfer fee-wise, I can only see two that would cost us an actual fee, 1 who would demand a large signing on fee and 1 who we may have to pay an amount to Madrid.
I’m ok with that, but really wish the club wouldn’t use the words like ‘very big, very expensive’ when the most expensive would be Zaha. Btw, I’m still thinking £55m plus Jenkinson and Elneny would get ya Zaha.
I get 55m is expensive, but in this market, it’s not exactly Neymar/ Hazard/ Felix big and expensive.

03 Jul 2019 11:24:22
Seeing rumours we have offered 50m for Maguire gets better by the day lol.

1.) 03 Jul 2019 12:42:09
I hear they’ll be offering PSG a swap deal for Neymar including Mustafi and £5.

2.) 03 Jul 2019 16:01:44
The only players we offer £50m for, are the ones whose club values them at . 50% higher. They like to give the impression they are making an effort. It insults our intelligence, yet they persist.

3.) 04 Jul 2019 00:09:50
Didn't this come from the sun 😂.

01 Jul 2019 19:44:36
So we have bid £40m for zaha I think we maybe a pound short this time lol.

1.) 01 Jul 2019 20:40:14
I think it's actually you we bid on Wilfred mate :-) .

26 Jan 2019 13:13:25
David Ornstein saying we after Ivan persic on loan with an option to buy for 35m.

1.) 26 Jan 2019 15:59:19
Wanted Suarez on loan, failed because we won’t commit to a purchase. Nkunku, that will probably fail because we won’t commit to a purchase. Now we are on talks to sign Perisic? Great player by why would we commit to buying a 30 year old for 35m when we won’t commit to Suarez for 20. Looks like we are going through players until someone just says yes to a loan with option to buy rather than a obligation.

2.) 26 Jan 2019 16:24:17
Perisic is an option to buy, Barcelona wanted a obligation to buy. If the player can’t settle to life or football, you are not forced to buy.

3.) 26 Jan 2019 16:50:21
Yes I know. Inter also want an obligation to buy according to reports and will only accept offers between 35-40m in the summer.

31 Aug 2017 16:08:19
Saying on sky we have bid £92m for lemar and monico are softening. that's crazy money.

1.) 31 Aug 2017 16:19:26
That amount involves a twit tax. That's the extra we have to pay for being twits in the transfer window. It's our own fault.

2.) 31 Aug 2017 16:39:58
Ha ha like it barn. Yet again three weeks back we could have got him for 60 mil but Wenger didn't think he was worth it.

3.) 31 Aug 2017 17:14:14
I love how people think they know everything on here. Who on earth said they wanted 60 a few weeks ago? Face it we haven't a clue what happens.

4.) 31 Aug 2017 17:16:06
Can't see how France are going to let him have a medical if they playing tonight. so probably one of those we tried to buy him bids.

5.) 31 Aug 2017 17:29:07
Not entirely sure how true but there were rumours that deschamps had players that could potentially move today have medicals last night? Besides a medical isn't a requirement for a transfer and could be completed after the deadline but obviously involves an element of risk.

6.) 31 Aug 2017 17:38:40
He's refus By to join arsenal he wants Liverpool.

7.) 31 Aug 2017 17:54:09
Yeah Wilfred beat me to it, pretty sure the next press conference will be Arsene telling everyone how he did all he could to get Lemar Van Dyk Seriously bla bla bla.

8.) 31 Aug 2017 20:35:55
They knew he was playing for France tonight so how did they think they could get the deal done. deschampssaid he wasn't going to let anybody out the squad for talks.

9.) 31 Aug 2017 21:21:40
Just more moaning members that are never happy.

10.) 31 Aug 2017 21:21:57
hes not moving, sanchez is staying and lemar is staying.

11.) 31 Aug 2017 22:00:09

Are you serious lol.

How on Earth is ozil rested for tonight he's only played 3/ 4 of a game all season.

1.) 19 Sep 2019 10:39:41
I believe it was misunderstood. He simply wants a fresh Ozil for the Villa match. Whilst Sokratis has played every match and Holding is back.

2.) 19 Sep 2019 13:14:11
Tonight's game is for a local tombola prize while the league is everything to a club like Arsenal United Chelsea Spurs.
Tombola prizes might look nice sitting in the back of your garage but it's pride of place sitting room prizes all big clubs live off.
I'd rest all first team squad players for the league unless they desperately needed game time like Holding.

3.) 19 Sep 2019 16:17:23
Of course - we need to rest to play the giants called Villa at home having played 45 minutes all season. Obvious 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

4.) 19 Sep 2019 16:56:12
Mustafi starting too oh dear.

5.) 19 Sep 2019 17:09:38
I'm delighted to see Mustafi playing hope Xhaka starts too, I'd be more than happy to go out in the group stages of a competion all big clubs try everything possible to avoid being in at all.
Let's kick the champions league front door wide open by finishing top 4 rather than trying to sneak in round the back through the toilet window.

01 Sep 2019 17:10:50
Xhaka again bloody liability.

07 Aug 2019 12:17:26
Saying Everton have bid £30m for iwobi I bite your hand off for that.

1.) 07 Aug 2019 12:22:47
Decent squad player. Would keep him.

2.) 07 Aug 2019 13:06:00
Use the money for a cb and play Saka instead.

3.) 07 Aug 2019 13:10:02
As long as we don't sell Calum I'm hap hap happy :-)

4.) 07 Aug 2019 13:21:56
He has had plenty of chances and not taken them. He is now blocking the development of Nelson. Time to let him go.

5.) 07 Aug 2019 14:19:07
Mind you with our limited transfer budget, will Everton take the £30 million in installments :)

6.) 07 Aug 2019 15:31:04
What limited budget, suddenly were fully loaded and competitive in the market like never before:-)

7.) 07 Aug 2019 17:59:41
Can someone from Arsenal drive down Iwobi if we are offered another bid. Maybe we are waiting for that 1 pound to be offered extra. Saka/ Rowe/ Nelson can fill the position. They need the gametime too. We won't see that money ever if it ain't now.

8.) 07 Aug 2019 18:48:35
Lol iwobi decent.

{Ed047's Note - he was joking, well I hope he was.

9.) 07 Aug 2019 19:16:34
I'm not so sure, that would be quite out of character!

{Ed047's Note - thinking about it, yes. 😂

10.) 07 Aug 2019 19:49:50
You mean he's not always joking?
Wow! :-)

11.) 08 Aug 2019 00:19:20
That's enough from you g62, get back to your man crush.

12.) 08 Aug 2019 09:52:20
Iowbi does have his moments in games is unpredictable and can be game changer from the bench but 30 Mill is a good offer for him so would have taking it if it meant helped getting a CB deal over the line. Like others have said we got brighter and younger prospects waiting in the wings now that are being blocked by him being there.

Would also sell Miki and Elneny infact I would sell these two first before Iwobi tbh.

I bet through the 30Million a was NOT all in one go.

05 Aug 2019 07:10:29
Basically we are a Ferrari up front and an ice cream van at the back. how can he not see that.

1.) 05 Aug 2019 08:22:44
I think he can mate its just getting the players in.

2.) 05 Aug 2019 09:01:04
1 week to kick off and 4 days to make sure we're the best we possibly can be both in terms of players available and that the players we do have are as well organised and motivated as they possibly can be.
Next Sunday we will see Emerys Arsenal 100% for the very first time, no more excuses, everything is now 100% Emerys doing be it brilliant or woeful all the credit and the buck stop at his door totally now.

3.) 05 Aug 2019 09:19:42
Come on mate all Emerys doing he's a head coach not a manager as you seen Poch come and say the same thing recently he doesn't buy players, he coaches them and let's be honest who has he really brought in?

The club knew has always been an issue the whole world knows so If they are not adjusting that how is that the managers fault, This predates him, Ofcourse he is going to be judged, however he shouldn't be handicapped going into the new season.

4.) 05 Aug 2019 09:27:05
G62 - Emery has had one season to start repairing the damage done over a decade. He has 4 players from last season brought in and so far he has two senior players brought in this window, plus young Martinelli and Saliba next season. The rest of the squad were inherited and many need to be shipped out. He needs a couple more seasons to shape the team his way.

5.) 05 Aug 2019 11:15:02
RG do you honestly think Emery will survive the entire season ahead if he continues to poorly or organise train and motivate our defence?
I certainly don't, i think if we continue to get totally exposed at the back by every team in every game this season as last season Fredie will be caretaker manager by April.
He doesn't have 2 or 3 more years like last season mate.
People will expect progress, fans media board alike.

6.) 05 Aug 2019 17:15:25
He needs another 2-3 seasons? No way RG are you really happy to see the same rubbish we witnessed last season. As 62 said if we carry on to be so easy and exposed at the back he won’t have another shot next year.

7.) 05 Aug 2019 17:17:33
But RG, I seriously hope that g62 and me and everyone thinking like us are wrong and you are right and I hope Emery get right and prove us wrong.

8.) 05 Aug 2019 19:28:24
I hope he proves us wrong too Moe very very much so.
If we restrict Newcastle to just a couple of good chances Sunday night Burnley the same the week after then and Liverpool and Spurs to Just a handle full each then I will very gladly start changing my mind and posts about Emerys.
I really want him to succeed but I just don't believe it's possible to be competitive while not treating your defence as a hugely important part of your team.
Beating both Newcastle and Burnley 5 3 would terrify me about going to Anfield while beating them both anything 0 while never losing control of either the game would make going to Anfield a much less frightening task.

9.) 05 Aug 2019 20:25:25
I don’t believe anyone wants him to fail as that means we fail

He had a pretty poor season last years despite the squad improvements and he’s had two preseasons plus a season to understand we have defending issues. He’s the coach - he needs to coach. If he can’t then we change coaches.

No more excuses - players not available? That’s BS as I’m sure he could have spent 70m on a CB if it was important but instead we sign forwards.

Injuries - every team has them

They were useless before - that’s why we changed managers and brought you in buddy! If you aren’t up to the job, then go. They are professionals and I am sure they can defend

Midfield exposes defence - it’s your midfield.

There are no excuses as far as I’m concerned - he’s had time and money. Now it’s showtime!

Again - want him to succeed, seen nothing except blind faith to suggest he can organise a team but here goes.

Don’t lower the bar to let him crawl over it - keep our standards high

10.) 05 Aug 2019 21:33:13
Agree with that SY mate, most of us made excuses for Arsene to begin with but little by little the excuses for our best ever manager simply ran out, we certainly shouldn't be recycling those same excuses for his replacement or its a complete and utter waste of time effort and money bothering anymore.
I always knew we might not get replacing Arsene right first time round and if that proves the way of it we shouldn't kid ourselves for years, no noticeable improvement by January then try again, but on the other hand if we suddenly look like an organised disciplined out fit then back the man to the hilt.

11.) 06 Aug 2019 00:16:06
Wow! Such a group of haters. Neither Klopp or Pep got their first season great. The club obviously want to improve the whole team. However you don’t shop quality players At Costco in bulk (or M&S) . We were one point away from CL last season. I believe Pepe can help us there. If you see the stats on how reliable we were on laca and Aubameyang last season it make sense to bring in more quality up front as well.

04 Aug 2019 19:55:11
Stunner from Aubameyang.

{Ed047's Note - assist from Özil too

1.) 04 Aug 2019 20:01:39
Excellent first half from our young players: Maitland-Niles, Nelson and Willock.

{Ed047's Note - and defending in two solid looking banks of four

2.) 04 Aug 2019 20:38:54
Shocker from Maitland Niles.

3.) 04 Aug 2019 20:52:57
Yep unfortunately it seems to be a regular occurrence with him.

4.) 04 Aug 2019 21:00:13
Such a shame as Maitland-Niles had a good game. He must learn to concentrate. He has tendency to be way too casual. Chambers is woeful.

5.) 04 Aug 2019 21:00:33
Mustafi comes on and leaves Suarez to score how is he still at this club.

6.) 04 Aug 2019 21:16:54
Two great finishes from PEA and Maitland-Niles 😂😂😂

Sounds like a decent first half all round including a disciplined defence! 🍾.

{Ed047's Note - it was a good first half, came under the cosh somewhat in the 2nd half but had chances.

Cabellos looked good in his cameo and it was a master stroke by Emery to bring Mustafi on at the end to ensure it went to penalties.

7.) 04 Aug 2019 21:22:36
Sokratis went off and the awful pairing of Chambers and Mustafi allowed Suarez to score. We must replace this utterly useless pair.

8.) 04 Aug 2019 21:54:47
The thing about you RG is your always ready to give an individual a chance and not one to hang onto any total bias you have against someone in order to back up to your original statements about them at any cost :-) .

9.) 04 Aug 2019 22:01:51
As usual the defence cost is the game, Mustafi should be nowhere near the team, chambers was fine.
Ozil great assist but him and xhaka not tracking back could have costed us a goal thank to Willock clearness. Although I really like the saka, this kid can cross and create.
A lot to look forward to going forward but a lot to be worried about the back.
Lets see what Emery learned from last season and the preseason.

10.) 04 Aug 2019 22:03:22
Chambers will be a useful player for a long time at Arsenal.

11.) 04 Aug 2019 22:10:15
Chambers CDM to replace Xhaka? Plus two box to box midfielders?

12.) 04 Aug 2019 23:28:20
I thought Chambers done OK couple of good blocks must been watching the wrong game.

13.) 05 Aug 2019 02:48:11
Seriously G62! I fail to understand what you and other Gooners see in Chambers? There were a lot of positives in yesterday’s performance. Mainly the young players including Maitland-Niles, who apart from his horrendous mistake played well. Willock has come on tremendously. Chambers and Mustafi’s defending for the Suarez’s goal was so bad.
The sad thing is that we scored a great goal, but conceded two shockers, both goals were the result of awful defending and errors. If Maitland-Niles had concentrated and Chambers and Mustafi had closed the gap between them we would have won. I pray a CB comes in before the window shuts, Holding returns soon and that we don’t have to play either Chambers or Mustafi again.

14.) 05 Aug 2019 09:23:28
Who do you really think you are embarrassing Chambers or yourself with this RG?
Let me tell it's not Chambers mate, if you need anymore clues let me know.

15.) 05 Aug 2019 10:57:20
If Chambers improves, I would hold my hands up and admit it. He is poor, not PL quality. Quite what fellow gooners see in him is beyond me. If you saw yesterday’s match, his control in the area was shocking at times and his distribution ponderous. Next you will be suggesting Jenkinson is quality!

16.) 05 Aug 2019 11:04:11
It’s embarrassing that G62 believes Chambers is any good! Would he play in the starting line of Man C, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U or the Toot? Not a chance.

17.) 05 Aug 2019 15:01:04
And Holding would I suppose? Which of our players would get in the City or Liverpool teams? Don't be silly about it RG, just be fair about it and accept if you see one thing and absolutely everyone else sees another that there is a fair chance you are the ONE who's wrong and you are the ONLY person who thought Chambers had a bad game yesterday, makes you think doesn't it!

I don’t think we were unlucky with their first goal we had enough warning not to fart about with it at the back and we carried it on even after they scored. emery learnt nothing from the spurs game we was way to narrow in midfield again Pepe never tracked back once to help Maitland Niles and it was the same the other side as well. I don’t think he’s the man to take us forward at all.
