It’s the eve of the first proper cup final. I hope and pray we the Arsenal are victorious and lift the first bit of silverware. I also understand it’s Manchester City standing in our way. This really is a 50/50 game, City on their day are a tuff nut to crack, just as we are on our day. As a fan of our great club… all I want us to do is give it our all, and what will be will be… Don’t forget us fans really can be the 12th man tomorrow. It’s about getting behind the lads, making the most noise, singing loud and proud.

Let’s help try make the difference and to taste victory. And if we don’t taste victory tomorrow, we must sing louder and prouder as the 12th man for the rest of the season, get behind Mikel and the lads and show them love and support to go again… because they are and we are (us lot the fans) are all part of the Arsenal family and families stick together through thick and thin. COYG/VTH 🔴⚪️❤️ COME ON YOU GUNNERS/NORTH LONDON FOREVER….

Arsenal have been playing twice a week almost every week now. We've done well to stay in the cups and it's of course exciting to still be in contention to win as many as four trophies.

But I have to confess, this amount of football is a bit too much for me. These are exciting games and I usually watch them with great attention. I usually need a few hours afterwards to cool off and even then might not sleep as well as normally.

Then there's the issue of squad management, fatigue and player welfare. I have always thought that the fixture congestion is a problem clubs should be able to solve by building larger squads (like we did last summer) in order to cope. But bigger squads and constant rotation have a negative impact on the quality of the game (wasn't considering this until Adam Cleary talked about it on his YouTube channel) .

I would also like to see some other matches but feel like Arsenal is more than filling my football appetite right now. 😅

I think this schedule is here to stay since more matches means more money. But personally I would welcome a drastic reduction in matches with open arms. I would happily scrap League Cup for prem teams, reduce Premier League to 18 or even 16 teams and reduce Champions League league phase to 5 or 6 games.

Arsenal playing only once a week would probably mean I would savour every corner kick and throw in even more :) and who knows maybe the open play football would be better as well.

Less is more for me. Anyone else feeling the same?

Well said, mate, it's just too much. You see players like Rice and Timber just stretched to their absolute limit over a period of a few months. then there's no break. Straight into the next cup game, straight into the World Cup, etc.

I want to see our best players lining up, ready to play their best every week. You just don't see it anymore. I think FIFA has really cocked it up, and the players should strike.

Players are played until they break down. Do we really want to see that? I'd rather give the teams proper time to work on their fitness, skills, and team play. And then, like you say, Wire, give us a proper football show where you can be at your absolute best.

Good morning all Ed's and fellow gunners, hope all is well. I was just thinking to myself after last night's fantastic performance/result. that if someone had said too me before the start of the season, that by march the 18th we would have only have lost 3 games all season and still be in with a chance of four trophies 9 points clear top of the Premier League, unbeaten in all cup competitions and just the one draw in Europe. I would have took that all day and all night long.

yes I agree some of our games have been a struggle but we seem to find a way. these are great times to be a fan of the Arsenal I don't give a monkeys fart what all the haters are saying, in fact I'm loving it. I'm loving the journey our great club is on. and loving the fact that we are back amongst it all.

Arteta the back room staff, the squad and everyone else related to this club including us fans should be immensely proud. on wards and upwards. one game at a time. COYG/VTH. 🔴⚪️❤️.

Well said, Gabi, and indeed what a time to be a gooner! Credit to the club, the manager and, above all, the players.
I have been moaning about our style of play, but having watched Rice's comments last night, I realised and appreciate the effort the players are putting in every 3 days.

It's a monumental physical and mental effort, and to get us to where we are today, and in contention for four trophies, is a very big achievement. So, regardless of the style of play, I will enjoy and appreciate the results and all the trophies it may bring with it!

Totally agree, Rice epitomises what a fan would do if only he/she physically could for this club. We'd literally walk through s***! I'm a fan, of course, I would. But to actually see that passion in our team's players really fires me up. I don't see any divas among our players.

Recruiting players who fight for each other and the club, rather than themselves. I love it. It is a credit to the boss, what Arteta has achieved. Transfer market savvy, total player buy in, less ego. It's all about Arsenal Football Club. We're buzzing. It surely is a good time to be a Gunner.

Hi Bill & K.G., good posts. The way a lot of teams set up against us has played a massive role in our style of play. Low-block, park-the-bus teams have sometimes made us a struggle to watch, but we are still finding ways. Teams that come out to play us. 9 times outa 10 are getting a lesson, and our style is much more appealing. Don't get me wrong, I don't like it when teams park the bus against us (although it's well within the laws of the game to do so) .

It makes for a bit of a boring watch. It just means long throws & set pieces are used more to break teams down (which are also within the laws of the game) . You gotta do what you gotta do, and we've been doing it to great effect. It's why we are where we are right now. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that teams are now going to try and play against us, as that will play right into our hands. COYG/VTH. 🔴⚪️❤️ One game at a time.

Totally agree with all the above comments, especially the togetherness of the players. And our strength in depth!

The next few weeks will be sooooooooo interesting..

The last 2 games have seen renewed energy IMO, maybe it's the last push.

46 shots on goal in the last 2 games, a huge improvement.

Yes B.G.. and last night in particular, if it wasn't for their keeper it could have been a cricket score. 😉

Well played boys! Better energy and more attack-focused. Plenty shots and 2 beautiful goals.
Also - Well played Vik. Some nice flicks, better hold-up and looking more dangerous. Opposition probably helped, but better game from you.

On to the Cup Final!

Oh - outstanding saves again, Raya - well played.

I wouldn't have a clue but it comes back as "Bad Request" even if I try to transfer from another clubs page.
