What does that mean, Mikel?
I will defend my players, some of them didn't have to be here. 🤷🤷
Obviously a lot of them didn't want to be there, you could see that in the way they played.

What the hell did this mean - did the League Cup mean nothing? Is that why we kept your best keeper on the bench, or why we didn't turn up.

Surely that was difficult & required a reset.

"You always have moments - normally two or three. This is the first moment that we have with a certain level of difficulty, we say difficulty when we're going into the quarter-finals of the Champions League and the runner-up for the League.

It's a difficult period - I believe that's it - there are many others that are even more difficult. So, stand up, make yourself accountable and deliver like we've been doing all season."

I just assumed he meant some weren't 100% fit. I think Saliba was one of them..

The players have to take their share of the blame as well. Jesus should never play for us again; he was awful, and Havertz, apart from the assist for the goal, was just as bad.

Not happy with the result, performance of players, team selection last night, but it's happened. We can only concentrate on what's ahead. Bournemouth game is turning into a must win now, and a result against Sporting.

The team needs us, the fans, behind them coming into the final stretch. We must stay behind the team and manager, and analysis and verdicts should wait till the end.

Carabao Cup Finalists. FA Cup Quarter Finalists. Champions League Quarter finals.

Premier League currently top of the table with 9 points, and 7 games remaining. Already looking better than last season.

Let's get behind the team and hope Arteta can fix the team to perform at an optimum level. Man City look like they are clicking at the right time, we need to make sure we dont fall apart. I believe victory will be ours and we will be crowned the Premier League 25/26 Champions (of course depending on injuries to key players) .

I'm with you, G4E, but do wish he, as mist on here saw, addressed the issue months ago, as it was obvious. If a cup final isn't a reset (he doesn't seem to care about that) then why is this a reset??

COYG - right behind you, but reserve the right to complain where readily able. 👍

Utter s****.

Step in Josh, you've given him the tools and he has let us down.

I am livid.

Same here, Mal, mate, inexcusable s****. I defended him and the squad after the Carabao, but obviously lessons have not been learnt.
Ie playing Arrizabalaga.
Playing tippy tappy football, I had enough of that with Wenger, and that's what we have come to, just like Wenger, playing tippy tappy sideways football and having no plan b.

Tits up on Tuesday against Sporting, and a loss against Bournemouth on Saturday will derail the season.
F****** livid.

I had this feeling before the game but didn’t want to say it and here we are. Big question is where do we go from here and what impact it will have for the rest of the season? There is no confidence we can dust ourselves and have a good end to the PL or the CL and who is the leader who’s going drag the team and put some sense into the players to take responsibility and accountability.

It will be a bigger embarrassment than Spurs getting relegated if we end up with nothing and to rub more salt on it City may end up with a treble.
I have lost hope!

Well done Southampton - completely outplayed us and kept attacking.

Well played Max - you didn’t deserve that result.

Bottle job Arteta - wake up mate. Get people around you who will give you a shake. Pathetic.

You must break the habit of your Arsenal manager career and not keep bottling when anything gets serious.

Our style of play, attitude, backbone and tactics are as embarrassing as the riches you have at your hands. Yet - still need a Lw, striker and creative spark.

Josh - step in and get some star quality in attack, a number two that will ruffle feathers and demand some style. Even if we hobble over the winning line - make that change.

Quote from Arteta
Carabao defeat will make us better.

Really tepid performance. Southampton had a game plan, stuck to it and got what they deserved (a semifinal place) . So credit where credit is due… and if we keep playing how we did against City in the final and Southampton this evening. We are in for some serious heartbreak. Come on the Arsenal, get your act together. COYG 🔴⚪️❤️.

Livid.
The only player who showed anything was Max.
Havertz, Jesus, Martinelli, Ode etc should hang there head in shame. As for Arteta I backed him on here after Carabao but f*** me play your Strongest side or at least your No 1 Keeper.
