Sy I have a mate who couldn’t celebrate the title win (personally I can’t see why it baffles me honestly) . He was exactly the same as you all season. Arteta couldn’t do nothing right in his eyes also. So when I was having a meal with him I said why can’t u celebrate? He said I don’t know. So I said to him maybe it’s because deep down you wanted Arteta to fail so you could say I told you so.
He hates Arteta. He said maybe. Is that why you can’t celebrate winning the title after 22 years SY or is there another reason? Because I can’t for the life of me understand any Arsenal fan who isn’t celebrating still. I know other mates who have Arteta but are buzzing.

Hi Dublin,
Hope you are well - I think if you read all my posts you will see 1. How happy I am 2. Not over the moon with our style of play 3. Have praised players, fans and Arteta.
Of course I am happy & far more real when we got the trophy. However, I’m wired differently & so are many competitive people who are outcome focused. I didn’t enjoy the run-in as we played pretty boring, safe, defensive & set-piece-based football. We clearly need to upgrade most of our attack including Vik & Kai, plus left wing (still) . We win and I’m happy, but due to this I’m wired, I’m focused on next year now & how we go up a gear. Hence, it’s difficult for me to be in the moment. I’ve won plenty of major things myself & been the same. I’m the same at work, & I’m the same with this season. The good thing is at work, I enjoy the ride. The league I’ve not enjoyed, and I’d still like to upgrade managers, but it’s not Arteta why I said that, but more my mindset on outcome.
It’s not uncommon & drives good things. I was doing what men don’t do - sharing that mindset & saying I’d like to be like the lovely Sally. Maybe if we actually played good football I could have enjoyed the journey more, but it has zero to do with Arteta.
I’d love to see Alvarez, Barcola / Kroupi, along with an upgrade on Ode & fullbacks. Do we have better options next season? I’m hoping some of our current starters - Noni, Kai, Jesus, Vik, Martinelli, Ode, White - are either sold or dropped to the bench so we can upgrade & go on to dominate football in points, prizes & style. We need to upgrade our starting 11, and that’s where my mind is.
62 would tell me to enjoy the moment - I did far more when we picked up the trophy, but I am almost immediately thinking about next year. That’s just me. Nothing about Arteta hate. I don’t hate him - read All my comments about him.
Anyway - hope you are good & thanks for asking. ❤️

Timber trained today! That's great news
Has to be a starter for finsl and key player to combat their left wing offensive.

Unless Jurrien is the modern-day incarnate of Steve Austin (not the wrestler, let's see who understands that one) , we just need to roll the dice with Mosquera at RB and simply accept that Kvaratskhelia is arguably the best LW on the planet and will roast whoever Arsenal plays at RB on an occasion or two.
27 May 2026 22:25:06
"We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster."
If he's fit, it's Timber for me! Won't be disappointed to see Mosquera line up though!
Always had it in for Lee Majors as he married my first crush! COYG.
27 May 2026 23:00:01
Well done, sir. 👏
And, yes, I'd go with Timber if he can hit.. say 80% fit.
And, Good Lord, Miss F was quite stunning, wasn't she? 😍
27 May 2026 23:15:24
Stone Cold truth is, we need Timber, as Mosquera is a lump of a CB and no fullback, despite Arteta putting him there. Too slow, doesn't think like a fullback, turning circle like BFG, and not mobile enough.
He will get leg dropped like a Hulk Hogan challenger, and will need an Undertaker by halftime. We need a solid Rock at the back, with the spirit of a Warrior, an Ultimate Warrior.
27 May 2026 23:35:44
I had those same thoughts re: Mosquera SY, but felt he acquitted himself well enough against Burnley.. At least enough to the point that he wouldn't be a massive liability, even against Kvara. I hope whoever winds up defending him chews him up and spits him out like a Junkyard Dog.

🤣🤣 Took my son to a wrestling rumble, I believe the youngsters call them, at MEN Arena, and I started a Ric Flair Wooo! He thought I was God that night. 🤣🤣 COYG.

Farah Fawcett, Lancashire mate. 👍
For some reason, as a young teenage boy, I always preferred to watch Charlie's Angels on my portable TV in my bedroom when Farah was in the show. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
29 May 2026 11:04:31
Morning 46! Glad you are back posting, although please tell me it was because the main TV was broken each time Charlie`s Angels was on, because the alternative does not bear thinking about. COYG.
29 May 2026 14:59:44
Hi Devonshire, mate.
Back then Farah's beauty wasn't lost on any man or boy I knew.

I think if we win the CL this year both Arsene and Mikel should have stands (or seats lol) named after them.

If by some miracle we did win Old Big Ears, we could all chip in for a statue of Mikel for Sy's garden?
27 May 2026 18:22:37
Why would it be a miracle, SW? Are they that inferior to PSG?

Absolutely, John, mate.

We were a well known club worldwide. I am amazed at how much air time and publicity we have had. I think fans (other clubs) are also amazed at how big our fan base actually is.
What an opportunity we have to build and dominate.
With other clubs having changes and rebuilding projects, I see no reason why we can't retain the title next season.
Let's hope we spend wisely in the Summer.
Now for Saturday, this is so so big. Winning it would make this side the best in the club's history. What an achievement that would be.
If Timber was playing I'd be very confident, IMO opinion it's a flip of a coin.

Agree, Banbury, exciting times. Despite the excellent squad, not happy with right back marking Kvarasheila (spelling) . Has to be Mosquera, I would think, with Saka helping a lot, which blunts the attack. Best defence v best attack, as you say, if we shut them out, we are well in it.
That's very tricky, but we almost have the personnel! By the way, my son's birthday, but also, Happy 1989! It's up for grabs! But, like Saturday, really. Coyg.

Totally agree, Sally, it made a very special moment in our club's history even more special still.
There really are some very strange things going on at The Arsenal, both on and off the field of play.
25 May 2026 15:42:49
Nice to see you back where you belong, 62!
25 May 2026 17:17:37
Thank you, Sally, and it's really nice to touch base with you. 👍
25 May 2026 18:12:53
Slightly Arsenal related. Just wanted to say well done to ex skipper Cesc Fabregas on guiding Como to the Champions League for the first time in their history. 👏🏻👏🏻 And welcome back G62. It's been a while.
25 May 2026 18:38:20
It has indeed, Gabi, thank you, mate.
It's fantastic that everything turned out brilliantly for us this season, and the fact that we might yet make this the greatest season ever in the history of our club. 👍 Exciting times, mate.
25 May 2026 18:54:41
Cesc has done an amazing job, Gabi, mate.
Took them from Serie B to CL on gates of 10,000.
Playing some lovely football by all accounts.
25 May 2026 21:40:15
I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for the Como games in the Champions League next season. How mad will it be if the Arsenal get them at some point?
25 May 2026 10:30:33
It’s like the good old days and I mean old days:
‘The business never stops. Right now there are already other teams who are trying to strengthen and come at us for next season.
‘We need to be aware of that. We’ve already had a few different conversations about different areas where we think we can improve on and off the pitch.
‘I am looking forward to getting that going this summer’
That’s the intent I love and I’m excited to see what Arteta does next year and where we strengthen.
We have a great togetherness and core but clearly need and want to strengthen. Much like Wenger in his great years - win and strengthen. With trophies and success plus a great club image -> we should attract some great talent! The future is bright, The future is red and white!
COYG - you beauties.

100% SY!
25 May 2026 15:02:07
Totally agree, Sy! I do just want to say that Wenger, mid to late nineties to the Invincibles, was outstanding, and against a useful, treble-winning United. Then the perfect storm of Russian Roubles, us moving to the Emirates, and having to sell our best players to fund it all (still winning FA Cups) gave massive kudos to him.
He deserves this title win too, and imagine if he had had this backing - a lot less success for Chels and C£ty, I'd wager. #inmyheadsomanytrophiesdontevencount Coyg.
