We Are Going To Be Champions This Season and Many More. We Are Going To Be Champions This Season and Many More. We Are Going To Be Champions This Season and Many More.
Nothing is a given until we have not crossed the line; the players, the fans, the backroom staff, and the ball boys must understand that.
Today is another massive game, hope the boys and the fans turn up. Nothing but three points.
11 Apr 2026 12:06:50
Let's hope so!! Big, big game today.
Statement to the EPL & pressure on City - that's the job today.
COYG!!

Was watching the Porto vs Forest Europa highlights for the own goal, but couldn’t help notice the football Porto played and the chances they created. They were fast, one touch and opened up Forest so many times, but then couldn’t find the end product.
Hope to see something similar (bar the end product bit) from the beloved Arsenal for the rest of the season. Somehow, we still are the best team in Europe so far. 😄

A treat to watch, great movement and use of space.

{Ed's Note - Zeddicus has posted a new article entitled, From Rush to Slot: A Supporter’s Breaking Point
08 Apr 2026 09:08:13
I was so bored last night I fell asleep and missed the goal.
Come on Arteta stop with this negative football.
08 Apr 2026 09:31:18
Why do we have to have a thousand touches and passes inside the opposition half just to create one chance?
08 Apr 2026 09:43:51
The tactics and approach are seriously baffling. If Raya didn't have the best of the nights, we would be 3-1 down.
What chance will we have against Barcelona or Bayern, even if we progress on a 1-0?
We have the players to play fast, attacking football, but it looks like they have been coached to pass around for the sake of it, and even then we are not able to keep hold of the ball, losing possession easily.
Odegaard has lost his touch, and I still haven't seen Zubimendi make a forward pass. We blame Gyokeres, but what service does he get, and how are we going to score goals?!
08 Apr 2026 10:37:09
I think fans HAVE to understand Arteta isn't the man, he isn't brave enough.
We sorted Bayern out last year 3-1, where has that level of performance gone?
08 Apr 2026 11:40:51
Bloody doom gloomers. :)
08 Apr 2026 12:59:55
Lol G4E
It happens when we haven't won trophies in a long time and come ever so close every year only to miss out some way or the other. We were in for four this year, and when two are taken away in quick succession, panic kicks in (at least for me it does) .
On top of that, there is no case of "We played brilliantly but lost to a better team" which aggravates everything.
There's still hope, so COYG!
08 Apr 2026 13:51:04
You are spot H, it's sickening to keep hearing "second again ole ole". If we don't win anything this season, then we will be the joke of the PL. That can't be argued.
08 Apr 2026 13:58:31
The fact of the matter, we are not playing to our strengths, and I can't see why.
The bosses can't be happy with 80s style play.
I honestly think he will be gone at the end of the season, even if we win the 2 trophies we are left in.
Enjoy your week, lads and lasses.
08 Apr 2026 16:47:09
I am still hopeful we will at least win one trophy, and I am leaning towards the Premier League (as long as we can sort our injured players out) . Bournemouth will be a strong indicator for that. Although not essential, 3 points is a must for me.
This is the season the boys will show they are now men (child-adult, not being sexist) . If they fail, then we really need to look at the team we have, as they don't have it in them and have been wrapped in cotton wool for too long. I'm still with Arteta. I think he has done an amazing job with where we were and where we are, but things will need changing.
As for a better style of football, I am expecting that flair to come back to us once we have more confidence and experience with playing together in training, and now, with so many players added last season, we have not had a series of training sessions together to experiment with them. Dig in deep, and be ready for the final stages of the rollercoaster. All together now. We will win the Premier League this season, and we will win it in style next season.
08 Apr 2026 19:41:38
Good chance we can crawl over the line, however, it's been painful, and City have been poor. We haven't addressed goals, LW, or CF. If the boss can't get that right, & we will face a tougher City next season - we need to change.
We don't have a winning attitude, and that comes from the boss.
He's done well, lovely guy & loves the club, BUT he's not a winner and not tough enough or tactically aware. Leaving Raya on the bench demonstrated that - big clubs want trophies.
10 Apr 2026 10:21:38
Correct, SY. :)
08 Apr 2026 06:31:28
Excellent result last night did what we needed, but, but, but, that is why you play your first-choice keeper in big games, Arteta.
Saturday next, let's get 3 points and put the pressure on City.
What's happened to Saka?
07 Apr 2026 19:29:21
Listened to Yays on high performers - similar story as Henry. Winning culture is key and leaders in squad drive it. Yaya was shocked that players laughed in The coach home at City after a poor result - would never happen at Barcelona and had a problem with it. Winning mentality means to are silent and sac when you don’t win. He said the turning point was FA Cup final when they physically fought in the changing room at halftime as playing so poor. Actual fighting. They went out and won. From then the “winning mentality” was contagious and they never looked back. Stated when you have the ball you pass to score and at Barcelona you had to win and play well - their fans booed them when they won 3 1 because they played poor.
Tell me - if the players fought… what would Arteta do.
😂 He would sell them.
What players do we have that would do that?
How close is our new mentality that everyone praised Arteta for close to that? Miles away.
Let’s get the culture right - get a number 2 to ruffle feathers including Arteta’s and leaders who will stand up to him, others and make winning contagious.
Let’s set high standards and wax lyrical when we actual get there rather than being so so grateful for the improvement - be brave and demand more.
Clear out a good few players, address the positions Arteta failed to do last year and sort the backroom staff out. Winners over Yes men or easy to manage players. Fighting actually got City the winning mentality.
08 Apr 2026 07:20:58
Old school George Graham or Alex Ferguson are needed, but those days have gone. So are real leaders on the pitch, and I mean leaders, not only a good footballer, but a hard, nasty person who isn't afraid to fall out with a team mate.
Souness, Keane, Adams, etc. We haven't got that player. Rice is a leader in his performances and attitude, but he hasn't got that nasty, angry streak; he is too nice.
08 Apr 2026 19:58:36
There are still winners out there - look in any sport or business. I don't believe for a second that an elite sport doesn't have winners - I've seen them play against us in EPL. The club doesn't sign real winners with that special winning mentality - that's a choice. Arteta finds players with good attitude who fit in. He buys a bloody dog called "winner" or something stupid like that. He's created a loyal, family-friendly, cohesive unit that many supporters praised him for - I want friction & fighting to win.
It's a choice Arteta has made.
It's the culture.
Arteta wants everyone to play for the team & defend & keep the ball at all costs.
Arteta wants to be very detailed in his instructions.
A family, hierarchical structure - lack of spark, individualism, and courage. You can see it in our play year after year.
Look at his win rate when it's less important vs win rate at business end of the season.
I'm not suddenly turning on him or just angry - he's been this way for 5 years. If we win the league we will deserve it but it's a City rebuild season & will only get harder.
07 Apr 2026 18:05:14
Watching tonight’s match without any expectations because with the way we are playing recently, I don’t have any hopes even if we somehow get past the quarterfinals and Sporting are a better side than Southampton, no disrespect to the Saints, they absolutely battered us in the game!
As I said earlier, it will be a bigger embarrassment for us, than the Spurs getting relegated, if we end up with nothing.
In the PL also, the games that I counted as winnable 2 weeks ago look like a difficult task.
Still, I will support the team until the last game, but that hope and expectations are lost for me.
07 Apr 2026 18:34:27
To be honest, mate, we played with an injury-plagued side against the Saints, don't get me wrong, they played a game that they knew would give them a chance, and it worked. Get a few players back and we will be on it again.
07 Apr 2026 19:16:29
We also attacked like we didn't know where their goal was, & afraid the boss would shout at them if they played a forward pass. It was our tactics which have been poor even with a full squad.
Draw is a good result tonight based on current form & their home record.
07 Apr 2026 19:17:59
That had been our story the last few seasons: injuries to key players, and we faded towards the end. We have addressed the depth this season, and against Southampton we had a near full-strength team. With the position we are (or were) in, we are absolutely expected to beat a team like Southampton, and only when we get this ruthlessness will we be a great team.
Look what it has done to the confidence of most of us, and I can only think that the players are humans, and it will affect them as well. Any cracks now, and we will again be empty-handed, while City ends up with a treble.
07 Apr 2026 13:27:24
Just wanted to say… Well played throughout your career, Mr Aaron Ramsey. Thanks for the memories. Cup final winning goals in two FA Cups, plus loads more goals/assists for the Arsenal. Always gave your all for the shirt before and after overcoming such an horrendous injury. Enjoy your retirement. Once a gunner, always a gunner. 🔴⚪️❤️
07 Apr 2026 13:43:38
Always remember Stoke fans cheering and waving goodbye when Aaron was stretchered off. 🤷 🤷
07 Apr 2026 17:27:37
Hi Bill, hope all's well.. Stoke mentality for ya.. Rambo had the mentality to overcome that sickening injury and come back, and became a mighty fine player for Arsenal. Don't know much about the Welsh international players, but he's got to be up there as one of the best central midfielders to represent Wales. Always seems like a down to earth lad as well. #Ramboisagooner.
07 Apr 2026 17:59:10
Rambo has been a great player for us. Shame he couldn't fulfil his potential to the fullest in the rest of his career, but proud that he is one of our own.
To come back after that horrific injury to the level he played at says a lot about his character. Wishing him the best for the rest of his life.
08 Apr 2026 02:48:19
Let's not remember Ramsey's career by the worst moments, but by the best. His spectacular season, where we suddenly emerged as title contenders in 13/14, takes the cake for me, a true superstar performance for the better part of 8 months.
Hope he enjoys his retirement, and I'm glad he could take a trophy or two home from his time with us.
PS, that goal at Galatasaray will forever be one of the best hits of a football I've ever witnessed.
08 Apr 2026 07:13:30
Great goal. What a hit. And the sheer joy on his face, and us fans in the crowd, when he scored them winners in 2 cup finals. He had that knack of arriving in the penalty area at just the right time.
08 Apr 2026 10:03:58
Morning Gabi, mate, all good here.
Remember Giroud coming on and laying in the winner for Rambo in the 2017 Cup Final, just after Costa had equalised for Chelsea, and Olly's back heel to lay on the winner for Rambo against Hull.
That season, when he was scoring goals for fun, him and Theo got injured at the same time when we was top of the Premier.
I was convinced we would have won the Prem that season if it wasn't for them 2 getting injured.
Have a great retirement, Rambo.
Thanks for the memories. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
07 Apr 2026 07:04:05
Morning All.
Thought I would calm down before I posted. :)
So back in January I was called negative / pessimist / defeatist or whatever when I had a dig at Mal because Mal had posted what an excellent season we were having.
We had won nothing so how could we be having an excellent season.
The fact is I was being realistic, and this will upset 99% of you on here with this statement BUT, to me Man City have all the momentum now, I am not saying they will but do not be surprised if they win the Treble and we have nothing.
It just wasn't sustainable for us to keep winning matches from set pieces, we struggle to score from open play.
I have said it before and say it again VG isn't then man under the leadership of Arteta, he can score at International level but not through Arleta's style of play.
Look at Saturday, Martinelli had the ball on the corner of Southampton's box, instead of crossing it, 5 passes later it ends up with Kepa. Wtf
So we go again tonight, we still have a chance for glory and I maintain the CL (everyone being fit) is our best chance of glory as it's a trophy we don't have on our CV, Rice and Co will be back, we are good enough but for me the question is. Is Arteta good enough?
We shall see.
07 Apr 2026 08:46:47
Good morning Banbury mate, hope you are well and you have had a good Easter.
Like you, I was so disappointed about the Carabao final, but the Southampton performance made my blood boil. We have put unnecessary pressure on ourselves. The injuries, that's down to the rub of the green. VAR is down to whether you got competent people or idiots running it. But your performances are down to players and managers.
We have to lose sometime, but there's a way to lose, and the way we have lost our last 2 games is unbelievably arrogant to the fans who spend their hard earned wages watching them last 2 performances. After the Carabao, I posted a very positive post defending the team, believing that we would bounce right back against Southampton, which didn't happen.
The team we put out against Southampton was on paper good enough to win the game, and that is no disrespect to Southampton, who deserved to win the game on their resilience and attitude alone. A lot of people were saying that the quadruple was never really on. Yes it was.
9pts clear
Final of Carabao
A relatively easy draw against Southampton apart from Port Vale and qf of the CL so the quadruple was definitely on.
So why in the last 2 performances have we played like that, why did Mike play Arrizabalaga twice, play Havertz in midfield, which doesn't work, why drop Vic when he must have been buzzing coming back from international duty, and why did the fringe players, when getting a chance to shine, play crap.
I just cannot get my head round it.
07 Apr 2026 09:07:45
I'm with you. Is Arteta an over-thinker? Probably. Should Kepa have in either game? No, not a chance, play to win and stop being so bloody nice.
Havertz isn't a midfielder and if it was me, I would have had some bug boys on the bench, but you are correct that starting XI was more than good enough to win at Southampton.
Fingers crossed for tonight, eh.
07 Apr 2026 11:39:48
It's the Premier League that matters for me. Win 5 out of 7 and the season is an absolute success. Fail, and it's farewell, Mikel. Fine margins.
06 Apr 2026 17:08:12
Some weird training drills going on at Colney 😳.
07 Apr 2026 18:38:12
They used to let us in to watch at the old training ground when we were kids. Shook hands with Pat Jennings, which was like shaking hands with a JCB bucket.
