100% mal. 🙏👊
13 May 2026 17:16:48
Peter Simpson, absolutely superb player.
Got the nickname Hadleigh after the TV series about a country squire.
Don't think I ever saw him put a foot wrong.
Frank McLintock and he are up there with Tony/Mouldy/Martin and Gabs and Billy Boy.
RIP Simmo.
Thanks for the memories.
14 May 2026 06:42:19
That's sad, but a very underrated player, imo.
13 May 2026 12:13:04
So sorry for Ben White.
That's really bad luck ACL injury.
13 May 2026 15:34:41
Terrible luck, but it looks like MCL and not ACL, at least. Best of luck with his recovery, as he has at least avoided surgery!
13 May 2026 15:59:17
Thank you for correcting me, Wire, mate. It's a MCL, not ACL.

13 May 2026 11:48:08
Bit harsh on White Ed001, White went off after only 20 minutes. I feel for him as he's been improving a lot since coming back from his last injury, but I wonder whether his body is just giving out on him. Playing through the pain barrier for too long hinders your natural movement and love of the game -- speaking from experience!
{Ed001's Note - he has never cared about the game. He is only interested in his tan. If he put more effort in on the training ground, he wouldn't have picked up a lot of his injuries, but he is lazy. It was why he was sent out on loan repeatedly and then sold to you in the first place. It is also why Arteta was so keen to replace him. He has a poor attitude to training.}
13 May 2026 15:36:55
Not trying to second guess you, I know nothing about his training, but I suspect the 50m dangled in front of Brighton might have had more to do with the sale!
13 May 2026 15:01:44
couldn't agree more ed on his day he is a fantastic player can cause the oposition some right agro, a lot of it has come naturally to him so has become very lazy if he does not pull his socks up he will soon find him in the commentators box if he is lucky
13 May 2026 16:31:53
The job I do, I don't go home and study how others in the business work, I just do the best I can and hope that's good enough. I slipped off a ladder once, carved my shin up, I got sciatica as well. no matter how much I would've trained or watched others, that wouldn't have stopped those circumstances.
Agree, Ben White might not help himself sometimes, but each to their own on how they separate working life and personal life.
13 May 2026 19:43:41
Ed, I can't understand a professional player like him who doesn't watch more football or talk about football. Every great footballer gets to training early & puts a shift in. DB10 & Henry were great examples.
Most pros talk about the game and watch endless games to improve and for enjoyment. I am sorry he's injured but I don't see him as a great role model for the modern footballer.
I discuss with people how to improve, go to training classes to keep up to date & listen to podcasts. I also competed at a decent level & watched videos of his I did plus watched other top performers to improve. Poor attitude from Rice I'd say
14 May 2026 06:56:16
Rice, !!!!!!! How did poor Dec end up in this conversation? Lol. :)
14 May 2026 07:19:08
Because I'm an idiot - I meant White.
13 May 2026 06:51:39
Hi guys and gals, just wanted to say I’ve been listening and watching all these so called experts going over the West Ham disallowed goal, many of them saying Rice was holding, Leo was holding and they believe West Ham should have had a pen… Well, isn’t it funny that they all missed Coucheck smash Havertz to the ground and the Hammers goalkeeper up for the corner take out big Gabi, just as the ball is coming over.
So if people think Rice and Leo are committing fouls. The two West Ham offences are definitely fouls also, and both committed first… Plus two fouls committed on Raya. Free kick to the Arsenal (correct decision) . The Arsenal haters are so blindsided by their hate. COYG/VTH 🔴⚪️❤️.

Hello, Gabi mate, hope everything is good.
The Arsenal haters have really come out in numbers, haven't they?
I don't listen to the pundits, but one of my sons-in-law told me that Rooney, Carra and Neville all said it was the right decision.
Bowen said it was minutes and 17 seconds to disallow the goal, but would he have moaned if it took that long to allow it?
There is a lot of shenanigans going on in the area, but it's not a new thing, is it?
1968 League Cup final
Arsenal v Leeds, I was a young, stroppy 11 years old.
Leeds get a corner, Jack "the Giraffe" Charlton using basketball tactics to impede Arsenal keeper Jim "Fingers" Furnell to stop him reaching the ball, comes out to Terry Cooper and bang, in the net, 1-0 to Leeds, and it's the winning goal. Bertie Mee, the Arsenal manager, after the game, complained about the basketball manoeuvres that Leeds used, and was basically told to stop moaning, it's all part and parcel of football.
Take care, Gabi mate.
13 May 2026 10:27:11
What I meant by that post is we have been the victim in big games like the one I described, not to mention Henchoz's blatant handball in the 2001 Cup Final, Barca's offside goal in the 2006 CL.
So it's nice to get one that's gone our way in a massive game.

Apparently the tickets for watching CL final at Emirates are going to be done by ballot on Friday, 35,000 available.
There is nothing official on Arsenal website but that's what I have heard.

I think Darren Cann's suggestions on MOTD last night were pretty spot on.
It's obvious packing the goal area is causing problems, and even though we are masters of this, it has become standard practice in lots of games, leading to near-impossible decisions for refs.
His suggestion of no player in the 6 yard box until a corner has been taken sounds a good practical solution I reckon.
11 May 2026 17:46:21
There sure will be some changes and guidance to the referees. There will be a lot of scrutiny on the corners now, and we will have to score goals from open play, as we will be under the scanner for the next two games. 😂
12 May 2026 00:04:41
Another suggestion is to make the play 'live' as soon as the ball is placed in the quadrant.
The law change would mean penalties and free-kicks could be given for fouls made before the corner is taken.
It creates a buffer between the set-up of the play and the ball being delivered into the box.
It could remove the potential fouls as the ball is about to be delivered, as players would need to disengage for a few seconds before this.
12 May 2026 08:30:14
Interestingly, yesterday in the Spurs vs Leeds game, none of the players were in the 6 yard box for the corners for both teams. Not sure it was a tactic or just me reading too much into it. 😀
12 May 2026 13:37:27
I noticed that too, Highbury!
11 May 2026 06:25:32
Agree SY.
How bitter was Mr Given, wow! That was actually embarrassing and fair play to Danny Murphy (who I think is a great pundit) for being unbiased.
It was a clear foul. Yes, there were others from both sides, but you need to look at the one that has had the most impact.
As for the game, I felt sick when Wilson "scored", so much so I couldn't finish my dinner.
So onto Burnley and Palace. This is it, we really won't get a better chance.
Burnley are gone and Palace are now safe and have a European final 3 days later.
Come on lads, no more dramas pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
11 May 2026 23:28:07
Well said, Carra.
"Now, there is a reason this is a foul on the goalkeeper - and it is, whether you like Arsenal or not, don't let that distort the facts."
He went on to say we push boundaries, but we had a goal disallowed for a similar offence. So consistency there.. Stop your crying and move on.
10 May 2026 23:08:08
MOTD cleared that VAR call up nicely and the rest of the pulling.
Shay Given bitter as hell for whatever reason - loser. Yes we've benefited from some decisions at corners but express it in less of a bitter way. Just looked, he played for Shxty with 115 charges and false accounting and cheating? Look in the mirror son.
