Much happier with a hard won 1 goal victory away to Everton than last week's very fortunate 1 goal victory at home to 2pts all season Wolves. 👍👍👍👍.
20 Dec 2025 23:08:11
Absolutely 62.tricky game but got the 3 points through hard graft…but got to say (as lucky as it was) scoring that last kick of the game winner is heart attack material emotionally it’s the best way to win (even if on paper should be an easy win)
Back on top ❤️🤍 let’s go!
21 Dec 2025 10:55:37
Why do we have to make such hard work of everything?
21 Dec 2025 13:20:12
Hi Jeg mate. Ultimately all the history books for the 25/26 season will show is our games against both Wolves and Everton resulted in us gaining 6 out 6pts, and we all know its the points that make prizes possible 👏👏👏👏.

Hey guys and gals! First-time poster, long-time reader.
I just saw some news regarding Havertz and another injury setback, meaning he will now return in January. It got me thinking about how “unfortunate” we have been over the past few seasons with injuries.
It also made me wonder whether there has been, or should be, an investigation or deeper analysis into why we are suffering so many injuries and setbacks. Do any of you Eds know if anything is going on inside the club? Or do any other readers or posters have theories?
It this just bad luck? Over training? Poor physiotherapy/recovery?
{Ed001's Note - every team does one during the close season mate. They all look for ways to improve the injury record. Never once has over training caused injury problems though, no matter that it is often blamed.}
20 Dec 2025 20:10:48
Thanks Ed, be interesting to see if anything changes in May! 👍.
{Ed001's Note - the fitness and conditioning staff were all pretty much picked by Arteta, so I wouldn't expect much in the way of change there.}
21 Dec 2025 17:11:10
Nice to see you posting SonofAdams.
18 Dec 2025 17:07:39
Hi Eds,
It’s gone very quiet on the Man City charges, do you have any idea on what’s happening on that front?
Thanks.
{Ed001's Note - just waiting on them to give the written report and judgement.}

Can't believe it's nearly transfer season! Have any of our lovely eds heard anything about possible incoming and outgoings at Arsenal please?
{Ed025's Note - i cant see many incoming,s Sally or outgoings really because of your injury list, you may bring in a loan but nothing permanent i would think..
18 Dec 2025 16:59:17
Thanks ed 🙏.

I can't believe the shops aren't playing Christmas songs this year. Went Christmas shopping last Thursday evening and again tonight and not a fairytale of new York or a White Christmas to be heard anywhere 🤔
Seems like everyone is cutting back this year not just football clubs.

Not too happy. villa and city both won. but any time we win and chicken on a beach ball, spuds get done is always nice. really have to rest up/prepare hard no stone unturned, then get ourselves at it big time for Everton away next weekend.
(tricky one) . then handbrake off full throttle on… COYG/VTH. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ONE ❤️ p. s I really hope gyokeres turns into the lean mean goal machine we hoped he’d be. come on victor, we still believe 💪🏻 🔴⚪️❤️.
{Ed025's Note - i did tell you about Joke-eres Gabi, not good enough im afraid mate, the search for a good centre forward continues..
15 Dec 2025 04:31:21
Liverpool fan here and admittedly I have not watched much of your recent games so what I'm about to say is what I observed much earlier in the season.
But I think the players, and maybe to an extent Arteta, do not know how to play with a proper CF. Arsenal has not played with a CF in quite a while, always choosing to play with a false nine all these previous seasons so they're looking awkward now with a player who is an actual CF and is making those runs in behind. Your players are still playing like they have a false nine and that just isolates Gyok further. I did see some good signs earlier in the season though where balls are played to Gyok but like I said, I'm not sure if they have pushed on with that. Didn't help that he got injured and is just coming back from it. They'd have to re-adapt to him again but I think he'll come good for you.
15 Dec 2025 06:53:07
Fair comment Drac, we seem lost in what to do with him, Arteta loves the possession stats and would rather keep the ball than whip it into the box, he likes to go back and start again if there isn't a clear pass on offer.
15 Dec 2025 13:07:30
Afternoon all. My only concern at the moment is our players getting injured so frequently. We now have a full squad that we have needed to compete all fronts a manager that can and will get us there. I think piece is getting the medical physio team right to keep our players fresh and injury free. No doubt it will be playing on the minds of the players too. With victor we have to be patient we don’t have the capacity to experiment on tactics.
We know with the current scheduling the team are not even able to train together as they need to be rested. And victor didn’t even get a preseason with us. Once the squad is fully fit we can rotate and experiment. Still top of the table top champions league n we can still do so much more. A lot more to be happy about then miserable.
16 Dec 2025 09:06:49
Thanks for your comments Dracred and good points made.
I'm seeing suggestions our players are playing for themselves to up their goal tally to impress international managers and not giving Gykores the service he needs. I really hope that's not the case and it's simply that they are not used to playing with an out and out no.9.
What's your view on your team and manager this year Red? they seem to be turning the corner now after the rocky patch. Anyway good luck for the rest of the season but please don't get too good! lol.
16 Dec 2025 22:39:37
Hi Sally I think those suggestions are made by people looking for issues that simply didn't exist.
What international manager would be interested in players who are so self obsessed that they put themselves and their own interestes before their teams? Surely that would put an international manager off picking a player.
17 Dec 2025 01:27:01
Hi Sally. I don't think your players are selfish or they want to up their goal tally just to impress their international managers. They don't seem to be those kind of players. There were good signs earlier on in the season where Gyok was getting played in and he was scoring goals. I still think he'd come good and that the rest of the team would get used to having a player making those runs in behind.
Thanks for you nice words too. It feels nice to go 5 games unbeaten but two of those games were against Sunderland and Leeds that we drew. The Sunderland game needed a last minute goal line clearance to maintain the draw and we threw away the lead twice against Leeds. Things do seem to be getting better now but our fitness is a major concern. Our players were dead in their feet against Brighton and many went down with cramps. Not what we want to see more when we are halfway through the season. I think top 4 should be our target for now and once we get that then we can start thinking about chasing you and city down for top spot. Still too early to think we have fully turned the corner though. We have a good squad, much better than what we are showing, but Slot has to prove himself again and make full use of them.
18 Dec 2025 11:55:17
Thanks for all the positives about our guys. I couldn't believe what I was reading and I've always felt the team spirit here is second to none. Booooo to those that think they are selfish lol.
14 Dec 2025 16:10:44
Now the dust has settle, a very short summary and of course my opinion
Firstly yesterdays game highlighted a couple of things to me, fatigue looked apparent which is a concern considering the BIG squad we have and the other concern was the inability to break a really poor side down, thankfully Wolves, scored twice for us and we get the 3 points
And a comment on today's games IMO if Haaland stays fit Man City win the league, he gets injured and we have an excellent chance.
No one can argue this, BUT we miss a striker, can't believe I am saying that after the money we spent in summer. it is there for all to see.
14 Dec 2025 16:41:36
Hi B T fair point buddy. city would be nowhere near us if it wasn’t for rubber face, think he must have scored 90% of their goals this season. without such input they would be mid table at best…he definitely needs to pick up a hammy or something 😉.
14 Dec 2025 17:30:31
I was surprised we didn't rotate more in the champions league personally, considering injuries and that it's not particularly necessary to win all the league stage games.
Haaland is a one man juggernaut, gyok was always a lime green gamble, and ed0025 is mighty bullish for someone who was so so certain that the pool would finish above man city (;
{Ed025's Note - rule Liverpool out at your peril SW, there will not be much between yourselves City and them at the end imo mate, you will all drop points and as much as i would like to see the Arsenal prevail you do have form making things harder than the should be..
15 Dec 2025 22:30:03
Is it beyond the realms of possibility that Haaland might not maintain the incredible level he is currently playing at for entire season? If not how would that effect City's season?
{Ed025's Note - their challenge would falter... and you lot could stop crapping yourselves i imagine G62.. :), or they could buy Joke-eres from you in the transfer window which means you win the title by a country mile.. :)
14 Dec 2025 11:20:54
Im very happy 😊 were top of both leagues and that's good enough for me.
Lots of negative feedback from last night, which I understand, but show me a team that fires on all cylinders 100% of the time. Their response when Wolves equalised was what good teams show under pressure. I give credit to the Wolves' defence for an awesome performance and their goal was a worldie. This league has no easy wins.
Absolutely City and others are breathing down our necks and its not a nice feeling but I think with City in particulae Harlaand is the player who will solely dictate if they win the league. He is that vital. I don't think any other team has a player that could do that.
It will be a long hard slog till the end of the season lol.
14 Dec 2025 11:55:29
Sorry about my usual typos. I do know the difference between were and we're lol.
{Ed025's Note - its not an English lesson Sally..dont worry about it..
14 Dec 2025 12:28:33
Great post sal…✌🏻&🫶🏻.
14 Dec 2025 17:21:13
Oh Sal, have you read any of my posts 😂😂
Brilliant posts btw.
14 Dec 2025 21:10:42
Yeah lots of good points Moe. When I think of the difference in size and stature of Jesus and Haarland its like chalk and cheese.
I thought Palace matched City quite well today, until Haarland did his tricks.
14 Dec 2025 22:26:00
Arseblog made the point that if we had a player with Jesus' touch and Gyökeres power, we'd have a hell of a striker on our hands. I think when Havertz is back he'll walk into the team, he's just so much better than our existing options - in a way he's a little like all 3 of our strikers combined if you include Merino.
The irony for me is that you could argue Gyökeres has been better than Sesko and Isak both! Really the only player who has consistently looked impressive this summer is Ekitike.
14 Dec 2025 10:50:43
I've just been watching clips why Gyogeres is suffering and not scoring.
On multiple occasions when VG makes some perfect runs between defence begging for the through pass and ode decides to drag on and on with the ball, and still he passes to martinelle instead ai think. I wish I could share the clip. And this has been happening way too many times. I xan understand the criticism of him not scoring but how on earth no one is talking about the lack of service he's getting.
I really want him to thrive but the way we are playing is rubbish, not direct and quick enough, slacking with the ball and concentrate on the wingers.
Look at halland, yes he's a better goal scorer but look at the service and quick and direct passes he gets. He creates space for him self and that's what I see VG doing but wothout the service halland gets not even the slightest.
Ode thinks way too much on the ball and he slows the play massively
Ps. I'm not particularly talking about last night game.
14 Dec 2025 22:28:34
Agreed Moe, this has been remarked upon often online over the past day or so and I think it does Gyökeres a big disservice not to play him in.
That said however, there is no way Arteta has not been working on this, and you can see him visibly frustrated with our forward play. Fingers crossed we see it turn around soon.
