Lipstick on a pig. Never gonna last.

Unless you are into that sort of thing?

Can not paint things different to what they are.

Absolutely gutted, but I am so so proud of the team and the fans.
So much to look forward to.
With our club.
Take care each and everyone of you. ❤️ ♥️

Commiserations, guys, it's horrible losing a final. But, head up, not everyone gets to a final. Take the experience and see if you can build on it.

I do feel, though, that it may be a wasted opportunity, and I think PSG were there for the taking.

Decisions could have gone either way, but ultimately you lost on a lottery.

You'll be there or thereabouts next year, and, more importantly, now enjoy the celebrations tomorrow!

30 May 2026 23:44:02
Thanks, Red. Feel so sorry for our guys, we were so close.

Hope your new manager gets you firing on all cylinders next season. Well, as long as you are chasing us lol.

We attacked- we scored. We showed PSG's weak underbelly and then decided to sit back for the rest of the game and deserved to concede.
Pens- I might get grief here but Madueke is an absolute pussy. That tackle he pulled out of in the league a couple of games ago, and then tonight went down at the final whistle pretending to be injured I'd give him away to be honest.

I'd be happy if we moved him on.
Why is a CB taking the 5th penalty? I will never blamed Gabs but what a shambles from the coaching staff.

2

30 May 2026 20:34:39
The right team won. Like it or not, we gave them the win as we played boring football. No team that has 25% possession deserves to lift a European trophy, end of.

6

30 May 2026 21:01:06
Supposed to be the best team in the world, managed 1 shot on target in the 90 and was a pen. Play to your strengths.

3

30 May 2026 21:50:59
If only we could rest players every week, because the League is 99% going to us regardless. Maybe we could play the same intensity as PSG in the CL.

2

30 May 2026 21:54:37
If 'strengths' is buying a massive bus to park, then go you! I want my team to fight to score, not to bore.

Arteta should leave. He is no Pep or Klopp, which he believes he is.

5

30 May 2026 22:52:23
The Saka, Madueke substitution lost us that match.
Fair play to Gabriel stepping up to take a pen.

https://www.evertonrumours.co.uk/uploads/thumb_ed025-1241569729.png avatar{Ed025's Note - you need forwards taking the pens for me GH..

2

30 May 2026 23:15:58
I agree Ed, and if Saka was still in the pitch he would've taken one. Instead of Madueke who has no balls.

Tough night and a huge amount of effort and discipline. Worked really hard, pressed and defended well.
Just lacked a little special something up front / off bench at that level. Shame Timber didn’t start and better options off bench.
Gabs didn’t deserve that after the game he had and season he had. Surprised a CB was taking a pen before others.

Showed he’s a leader like Rice.

Well played Kai - I give you stick but you had some game and a great goal. Shame you had to come off. You worked your socks off!

It was lovely hearing them say English Champions.

Let’s see what the summer brings.

Disappointed Gooner but what a season in terms of accomplishments.

3

30 May 2026 21:56:16
Well said, Sy, mate. I'm a proud Gooner. the lads gave everything. Decs was literally screaming at the ref to have common sense and look at the screen over the pen (that was no different to the one given for them) , and that's why that boy should be our captain next season.
Heartbreaking to take, but we played our game n left everything on the pitch.

Not gunna lie tho. Eze's penalty was pish. You're not on the 18th hole, lad, you're in the Champions League Final.
Anyways, the parade tomorrow to celebrate being Champions of England! Let's have it and give the lads the party they deserve!
Come on you Gooners. ❤️ 🤍

30 May 2026 21:57:08
Lots to be proud of. I think we played how we needed to. Let's be honest, we could play with the same intensity as PSG if we got to rest our players when needed. It was a game of fine margins, and yes, the better team won.
But, let PSG play 38 games in the Prem and see how they play in the CL.

It is no coincidence Prem teams fall off in the knockout stages after our Xmas fixtures, when other teams get to rest players, playing in a one or 2 horse race, and I will die on that hill.

30 May 2026 22:58:28
As sad as I am, you are all fking deluded!

WE play not to lose. But we lost.

Maybe if we played to win things would be different

Antifootball logic is what we do.

3

31 May 2026 10:57:50
GM - I'm normally the miserable moaning person on here. I'm not Arteta's biggest fan either, but come on - that wasn't anti-football. Arteta does what he always does & doesn't go for blood. However, we got after them and stood ten toes deep in the ground, while you could argue PSG huffed & puffed. Football is attack & defence.

We did create chances, but lacked a bit of luck (penalty) , a bit of quality (Vik) , and a bit of tactics. We got caught out on a penalty because we had a CB playing FB against a top top top quality LW. That's not anti-football, but not being brave playing Timber, or unlucky, Timber was not quite ready.

Gutted about the result, but immensely proud of Arsenal. Penalties are always a lottery. Gutted we didn’t do the double. I would have said this even if we had won. I thought the referee was very, very poor. But, hey, we can console ourselves with the fact we are Premier League champions 2025/26. So, let’s all go out and show our immense support and gratitude, and show the lads just how much we love them and appreciate all their efforts this season.

As the open-top bus parades past us with our fantastic bunch of players holding aloft that gleaming Premier League trophy, the Arsenal till I die. 🔴⚪️❤️ VTH. We might not be kings of Europe (but we came mighty close) . We are, however, the kings of England, so let’s celebrate together. Come on you Gunners… 🎶🎶 Champions of England 🎶🎶 We know what we are. 🎶🎶

1

30 May 2026 20:36:57
Certainly, questions about the ref not allowing the corner to be taken at the end of the first half, and not wanting to at least take another look at the penalty decision, Gabi.

But, neither we, the players, nor the manager get to control these things. Sometimes we just have to accept and go with the things we can't do anything about, mate. Up the Arsenal. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

1

30 May 2026 20:54:18
Hi G62, hope all's well, my friend. We are powerless over such things, but the Champions League showpiece final deserved a ref with a bit more about him. Just wanted to say I really felt for Eze and especially Big Gabi, but it's made me love them even more. ❤️

1

30 May 2026 21:43:35
Hi Gabi, All's very good with me, mate, and I hope it's the same with you too, mate.
Yes, mate, feel desperately sorry for Eze and Gabs, who were absolutely immense throughout the game. Full credit to them both for having the nerve to step forward, mate. I don't think I'd be able to in that situation. ❤️

1

31 May 2026 08:50:50
Absolutely, John, mate.
I think my ol April would have gone big time.

A few big decisions to make in starting 11 and tactics.

Dark arts and play to sneak a win?
Solid at back and play fast passes and press?
Timber to start?
Zubi Vs MLS
Ode or Eze
Kai or Vik
Martinelli or Trossard

For me - fast passes and press but solid and no messing at the back.

Opt for experience:
Timber, Zubi, Ode, Kai to start.

Bring MLS on with Eze etc in second half to inject a bit of forward play and Vik to expose tired legs hopefully. 😂

Positive but cautious and not giving a goal away due to messing around and inviting pressure on us. So a word with Saliba and Raya plus Gabs as no short goal kicks in the box please.

We can do this! COYG.

F*** all the transfer talk who we buy who we sell.
Let's just concentrate on today. A day imo is the biggest day in our club's history. We have a chance, a great chance imo to join the elite of clubs of Europe Real, Barca, both Manx, Liverpool, Villa, Forest and PSG thereselves who have won this great trophy.

I was in Paris 20 years ago and it ended in 😭, and I will be at the Emirates today shouting, screaming my head off. So instead of binning some of these players off, they got us the prem and got us to the CL final and have a great chance today. Let's get behind them
North London Forever

Fantastic news!!

2

29 May 2026 21:17:17
We have the occasion in the 100% bag, Cumbria, mate, and I plan to enjoy it, no matter what the result. Obviously I will enjoy it most if we both play really well and win, and I will certainly enjoy it much more then if we lose.

But, one thing that is for absolute certain is that I will enjoy it much more than I have enjoyed any Champions League final in the last 20 years, and I will definitely enjoy it a lot more than I did last year's semi-final defeat to PSG.

2

29 May 2026 14:27:20
As Barcelona want Alvarez and so do we, what would everyone like this window as in attackers? I have two versions in case Barcelona get Alvarez as they have bid 100m today.
If we get him I’d like Barcolla for the left and Rodgers as number 8 plus Alvarez.

If we don’t get him I’d like to spend big on the left Kava (PSG winger) for the left, Rogers as the 8 and Koupri as striker as cover for Gyok.

0

29 May 2026 15:31:23
Ideal window will be Barcolla, Alvarez, Rogers and Dumfries (right back) .
Kvaratskhelia and Mbappe will be difficult, but if we can get either of them instead of Barcolla, we will be unstoppable.
Kroupi will be a good addition, but not sure if he will be sold, as Bournemouth are in Europa and he will be guaranteed play time to develop.

If we get Rogers, we will have to sell Kai or Odegaard. Definitely get some cash for Martinelli, Jesus, White, Nordgaard and Nwaneri. If Trossard also leaves, we should go for Rashford.

0

29 May 2026 18:43:41
Barcolla, Alvarez, Rogers & Kroupi

That would change our style & attack - No one will buy Kai from us. Seriously. Who else is mad enough to pay him 280k per week, plus we spent 65m!!

Maybe on bench: Kai, Noni, Vik & Trossard.

Then fullbacks need upgrading in back up & options.

0

29 May 2026 18:55:48
We have two or three players for each position. Gyokeres, Havertz and Jesus for ST. Martinelli and Trossard for LW. Saka and Madueke for RW. In addition to a few attacking midfielders, some of which can also play in the front line.

So, any incomings are dependent on departures. I think two senior players per position is a must, since we will probably play twice a week for most of the season again.

I like Kroupi for versatility and finishing ability (which we lack currently) . We're also lacking a young developing talent in the forward line (Dowman may end up as AM, I think) . Not sure about any other targets, to be honest. If we're going to add a 25+ player, he needs to be of a superstar quality like Kvara. Otherwise, no point in replacing what we currently have.

1

29 May 2026 19:41:18
If I could. Gyokeres - bench. Havertz - sell, and Jesus - sell. If we are talking about us improving & trying to win the league again.

For all those that say - keep Kai. I'd ask: would you buy him and pay him 280k per week, or look elsewhere? As an alternate to Cam or off the bench? No for me, but he's a decent but expensive squad player.

Martinelli (sell) and Trossard (bench) for LW.

Saka and Madueke (bench & defo never LW) .

Just my thoughts, Iceman, but no one is buying Kai, so only Jesus leaving, as Vik offers something different but should be benched. Hopefully better second season and a plan B.

30 May 2026 01:21:46
Barcola, Alvarez, Rodgers & Kroupi? That's likely over £400m.
Jesus & Martinelli might get £50m combined. Maybe an extra £15-20m for Trossard. No one's buying Havertz or Odegaard. Seems beyond fanciful.

Shhh, fuser, let them play football manager. 😉
We see this every summer, and it's always amusing.

0

30 May 2026 07:26:24
I knew this reminded me of something, and Football Manager it is!

0

30 May 2026 07:57:44
True - a bit ambitious, but we could do with transitioning the ball quicker, which means Ode at risk, definite LW which puts Martinelli at risk, and we need a better striker if we are going to play with a bit of pace. so Kai & Jesus (509k per week at least) at risk. LW, CF and ACM to change our attack.

That would free up wages & cash, including selling some youngsters, which we will need to do.

Kroupi, Barcola & Rogers would do that. If we feel Ode can return to forward passes & quick passes, then great, don't get Rogers.

But I don't really want Kai & Vik as our attackers next year.

It's not Football Manager, but throwing some names out there to change our attack & style while keeping the defensive rock.

We need fullbacks also - this could be a 2 season process, but we need to inject something into our attack. Can't rely on corners then try long throws.

I guess you are happy with our attack - why not throw out a name rather & be wrong or laughed at rather than sit behind the sofa & praise whoever Arteta signs from Chelsea or another defender?. 😉

Buzzing.

We can do this.

EIE.

Absolutely, Mal, mate. I feel if we don't concede early and grow into the game, we can do it.
Cannot wait. Managed to get a ticket to watch it on the big screens at the Emirates.

Suddenly, I am more nervous than the title run in; we must play the match rather than the occasion. I want revenge for last year, first CL trophy and a double to parade on Sunday. Let's do it, Arsenal. COYG!

1

29 May 2026 17:07:47
I was quite happy to swap winning the CL, provided we won the Prem. However, now we are Prem Champions (how good does that sound?) , I am getting excited we could do this. Liverpool took them to penalties last year, Villa went out by the odd goal and beat them at Villa Park. We lost both games, but Donnarumma had a man of the match performance in both ties, and we were 10/15 mins from having a right go at them had Bukayo scored an open goal.

Revenge is on my agenda, as it will be on the boys, I'm sure. Yes, they are good, but we are much better than last year, and they are not that good that we are making up the numbers. It's 11 v 11, and played on grass not paper. We are in this big time, if only so Mikel can perhaps keep his job and we don't knee-jerk and sell Saka, Zubimendi et al. ;) COYG 2-1. Kai with the winner again.

Perfect post, Sussex, mate.
COYG.

29 May 2026 18:47:00
Can't wait - buzzing.

Hoping Arteta shows intent for a change - no mistakes by passing at the back, crisp, fast passing, pressure and press. Keep shape for first 30 mins with no mistakes.

Need to be brave and none of the backward sideways crap he loves.
